Amazing. A goalkeeper that anytime a shot comes in you think "oh no, this is a goal" and you're happy with him because he can pass it. By the way, for all this lauded passing ability i've only seen him pass it short to the defenders and punt it upfield usually to be given away, not seen any decent distribution to the fullbacks/wingers etc.

It's how I read the scenario based on what was happening at that exact moment. Everyone is free to make up their own minds about why he was pissed off. It's possible he'd stubbed his toe. However, Man City graduate, England under 21 captain, Euro Championship winning, Championship title winning centreback being overlooked in his favoured position for a centre midfielder? It's not a stretch to say that's why he looked pissed off at the exact moment the substitution was being made.

When Charles came on it showed Holgate sitting down and THB looked massively pissed off that a CM was being brought on ahead of him at CB.

No more pressure than he'll be under to play Man City's on loan centreback who was one of the best in the league, alongside our club captain Jack Stephens when fit again. Holgate should immediately be dropped and designated as number 3 CB for the foreseeable. I think there is a player in there somewhere but clearly he ain't at the races right now for whatever reason.

Not really mate, today was depressing as fuck. I'm confident in my opinion, from what I've seen, that he is a terrible keeper and isn't going to improve to the extent we require. He may be brilliant in 5+ years time but right now I don't give a solitary fuck about that. It's a position that is SO easy to make an immediate and drastic improvement to the sides chances, and yet we continue to blindly put our faith in him. I don't get off on proving people wrong, it's just that the more and more people who finally admit he is terrible the higher the chance one of those people is the manager and we replace him.
