  1. They've actually gone off the boil since he calmed down.
  2. It's horrible, but I hope this news doesn't overshadow the reporting of the crisis as a whole. Getting close to 50,000 dead now, and the suffering as a result will last for years. The true cost of life will be impossible to properly measure.
  3. Is anyone else looking at that thinking...an inflatable might be a genius way to sneak some booze into the ground?
  4. I know it's not a loan, but I'm assuming Nathan Redmond is safe and sound in Turkey at the moment?
  5. How's Pahars been getting on in his managerial careers?
  6. If we just said "the twat" it would get confusing as we have a few.
  7. Just checked in, wtf has happened today?
  8. Not necessarily. Saints might be looking back on the decision to keep Mark Hughes after he kept us up.
  9. Jesus. Who would choose a career in football management. Imagine having your professional career ripped to pieces non stop in public for all your family and friends to read.
  10. I hope he takes some time to reflect, become a calmer, more rounded person and sort his head out. It must be depressing to be Nathan Jones right now sat there staring at the wall with your missus trying to act as if you haven't utterly failed.
  11. Fair point, but really the job he did at Villa was Ok, not terrible, it's just that their expectations had gone up a level.
  12. Yeah, they dipped because his replacement wasn't as good as him. Not sure how that's supposed to disprove the fact he did a good job there.
  13. I'd be surprised if we're willing to pay out for another manager.
  14. Of the options being discussed he's the best one I think. I'm actually coming round slightly to Gerrard. Poor at Villa with huge expectation yes, but look at how Rangers have dipped since he left. We might go down with him in charge but he'd stay to rebuild and I think it would be good experience for a manager who clearly has potential to do well. Obviously I'd prefer us to stay up but I could see our squad being a good fit for him - and he may even get Aribo doing something (anything!).
  15. I don't disagree but both of those players are either injured or just back from injury.
  16. That was a weird autocorrect.
  17. Telles somehow survives though.
  18. Just notice that Tedesco was confirmed as Belgium coach 4 days ago. If we'd sacked Jones after Brentford we may have still had a chance of getting him in.
  19. I was just talking generally in terms of not being up to what is required. The "not fit to wear the shirt" moniker is reserved for that horrendous team that Poortvliet put together that got us relegated to league one.
  20. Relegation is far from a certainty. There is a team of 11 players in this squad that could keep us up playing the right type of football.
  21. He could, at some point in the season, make a save. One that he's not expected to make. Like all good keepers do. It's not much to ask of a premier league first choice goalkeeper.
  22. I wasn't blaming him. Just pointing out he did nothing positive all game, yet again.
  23. Yet another game where Bazunu makes zero positive impact on events. He didn't touch the ball with his hands once, claiming crosses or making saves.
