It's definitely along the lines of "more opposition in our half means less opposition in their half". It's mental. I'd rather we have a back four that sits and a CM two that pings balls through/over the top to two wingers and forwards from a deep starting position all game.

Bottle of water mate, can't trust the stuff that comes out of taps.

The forward players are stood waiting for a pass rather than making runs to create space, it's mental. We'd trying to move the ball round the opposition rather than move players into the space to receive it. Armstrong, Edozie, Fraser, Sulemana are all players who would thrive putting the ball over the top of the defence or between the two centrebacks yet we have them stood with their backs to goal waiting for the pass.

Son in law, academy poster boy something something, only passes sideways and backwards etc.

Missed all the post match stuff, was there any analysis of his red card? I thought it was a joke of a decision. Did Martin say if we would be appealing?

Adkins was probably the happiest Saints fans have been since Strachan, maybe even Lawrie. All he asked for was hard work, solid defending and getting the ball forward quickly using wingers and potent finishers.

He's not wrong. The irony is our forward players would benefit a lot more from us sitting deep and playing long than this absurdly high line we insist on.

Should be overturned on appeal, absurd red card.

Both feet were on the floor, only thing I can think is the ref thought his feet were on the players leg instead.

That is never a red card.

Smallbone gives the ball away again. Needs dropping.

Does it really look much worse if we concede another? It's shambolic either way.

Agreed. I said I wanted him here and got laughed at. Vestergaard also better than any of our CBs.

The attendances will drop off sharpish.

Yep, I'm with you. I won't care when we put in a dominant performance against some lesser team, have all the possession and win 4-0. We won't get promoted playing like this and if he won't change then he needs to go.

From a Saints corner 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fraser so far has been a poor man's Stuart Armstrong.

Oh Sully, hit it first time in that situation...

Don't you think that first touch is deliberate rather than a mistake, given the pace he has to catch up?

Still somehow tried to complain about the foul being given.

Downes has been shite so far for us, not a huge loss.

He's saved two shots straight at him and a long range effort that is a bog standard save. He's done the bare minimum expected of him but that is, in fairness, a huge improvement for him.

Absolutely deserved. This isn't good enough.

Armstrong wasted in CM, need to have him where Fraser is.

He looked good alongside JWP, but now he's essentially being asked to be the main man in midfield and isn't stepping up.
