I agree that he doesn't really deserve to be there based on performances. But Phillips being taken with three sub appearances all season is a fucking joke.

Yeah, that's just Sky seeing the picture of him in the ground and announcing a safe guess to show themselves as having an exclusive. -

This poll just confirms that whatever happens in the future, this appointment isn't going to bring the immediate feel good factor to the club that Koeman and (ironically) Ralph did. -
Fight for their careers? Come off it. We all know the way football works, even the shittest players in our squad will, at worst, have to run down their contract and then get picked up on a free for a middle to upper championship side still earning tens of thousands of pounds a week.
-
Where are you getting those stats from? As De Gea is on 64% from what I can see.
-
Exactly, and if Jones comes in and gets us into the Europa League or wins a cup in his first full season he'll be knocking on the chairman's door for Ralph money.
-
For the same reason Mara wouldn't expect the same as Ings' got.
-
Comes across as bitterness that it's being reported after he's sacked.
-
57% of shots faced saved, lowest in the Prem.
-
Obviously we all hope he will work out and it could be a masterstroke, but I think the one negative that is undeniable about this appointment is there won't be an immediate feel good factor among the fans that leads to an improved atmosphere.

Can I be the first to say Nathan Jones out, please.

Some of the best football I've seen us play was hitting it early to Pelle with Mane, Davis, Tadic and Lallana causing problems around him. With Adams ability to hold it up when it's played to his feet and chest I wouldn't be against us getting it forward quicker.
-
Pretty sure the end of this season. Entirely possible he doesn't manage again, which makes this a sad way for his career to end. Got to wonder if he has the passion for it anymore.
-
It's funny isn't it that that was basically the moment it all went downhill from. Strange.
-
I hope that's not a comment about Blackmore's mother passing away last week?

Shame it ended like this to be honest, there was clearly good ideas in there somewhere but I don't think he recovered mentally from the self doubt those huge defeats must have inflicted him with and that fed down to the team. We looked like a side treading water this season. Overall I'll remember him fondly, he's not with the likes of Pelligrino or Hughes but he's nowhere near Adkins, Strachan, Pochettino or Koeman. He's probably with Burley and Pardew where we had some good times but nowhere near as good as we should have. Which is also where I'd put Puel, whether fairly or not.
-
He was at his best when he was further forward in midfield, closing down and getting stuck in and playing passes from higher up/getting long shots in. With Romeu leaving and Lavia getting injured he's had to drop deep again which doesn't suit him. I'd like to see a new formation for us under whoever comes in, a 4-3-3 in the style of Chelsea with two CMs sitting deeper, JWP further forward and then two of our attacking miss/quick strikers playing wide of Adams. Would still allow the fullbacks to get forward with the cover from two deeper CMs without needing them to expose themselves too much. As to who those CMs are, who knows as Diallo is better further forward too. We'd need to sign someone really. Romeu and Lavia together would have been an incredible combo, sadly.
-
I want us to get rid of Ralph now and bring in Domenico Tedesco. Harshly treated by Leipzig after winning the German cup and getting them to the semis of the Europa League, basically sacked very early in the season for losing two games in a row by 4 goals and one of them being to Shaktar Donetsk.
-
He's fucking shit, end of. Signing a kid instead of someone experienced to be first choice keeper in the premier league was absolutely mental. We'd be much better off if we'd kept Forster, released McCarthy and signed a younger keeper from the lower leagues as backup.

If they're directly at him yes, but he tries to palm it back to an opposition player even then. -

4 shots on target, 4 goals for Newcastle. Why doesn't Bazunu just go and sit in the stand for fuck sake. -

Of course. I've got trippier and pope in my dream team so of course Saints would not only lose heavily but cost me a clean sheet bonus as well.
