Hopefully partey doesn't make a miraculous recovery.
-
Don't want to waste a good opportunity for a cup run though.
-
Going by that, let's hope he was happy and fulfilled right to the end.

I was shocked hearing this as it didn't feel that long ago he was Villa manager, looked and it was 10 years ago! Sad really, he was out of the game for 3 years after Lyon, went to Villa for a year then nothing...probably knew then he wasn't up to it anymore but just wanted to feel the thrill of the game again. RIP.

Saints vs Sheff Utd - Match & Reaction Thread
Saint_clark replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
Working yesterday so sat down watching the game now. McBurnie trying twice to rattle or injure Bednarek by going in late and then injuring himself during a dive is possibly the funniest thing I've seen on a pitch since Jim Joyce pulled his hammy at Home Park. -
Love Claus and applaud him for turning things round, but who on earth approved his interview being broadcast at halftime on radio solent yesterday. "Erm" every other word and barely able to understand a single word due to the interview being conducted over the phone.

Still think the area that we could see the biggest improvement based on current ability and how much we have to spend would be goalkeeper.

Vestergaard is becoming an outsider for player of the season. Probably say him and JWP are the forerunners right now (not Ings purely because of the injury so far). -
Romeu will be missing a game soon so it'll be a big chance for him then.
-
A Ceballos and Elneny midfield is pretty weak, but much more creative.
-
Arsenal are the perfect side for our style of play. Really think we could win by a couple here.
-
Arteta clearly has no idea how to get the best out of the players he has there.

Pierre Webo: Istanbul Basaksehir assistant coach says 8 December will be significant date in racism fight - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55278384 "Webo, 38, said the days since have been the "most difficult" of his career. He added he needed help from a doctor to sleep on the night of the incident. He told BBC Sport: "In my opinion, 8 December, there is a before and after. It will be remembered."" Jesus Christ.

If he signed a new contract I have no doubt we could find a promoted side or lower team that would pay £10million or more for him, regardless of age.
-
Said it in his native tongue (Romanian) which is ala negro apparently.
-
Indeed, he said "the black guy" when indicating to the ref who should be booked. We should have a day of mourning tomorrow imo.

Are you Saint_clark in disguise?

Wonder why we struggle so much towards the end of games when we don't use subs to rest players...
-
Vestergaard motm, what a turnaround from him.
-
Have to say I think the push itself was just inside the box but that isn't conclusive enough for me to want it overturned. Wouldn't have complained it it wasn't given.
-
Never a penalty but I'll take it 😂😂😂
-
Fuck sake Redmond, took that way too early. No patience.
-
Ings looking just a little rusty, twice now if he'd reacted instantly and not hesitated he'd have been able to get a shot away.
-
Redmond scored a goal here last season. Backing him to get one tonight.

I love it when we keep possession so diligently in order to just play a hopeful ball down the line when the striker hasn't made the run yet.
