  1. Im posting on another forum where people don't just make sarcastic jokes all game long.
  2. If he's injured till the start of the season then the only club stupid enough to sign him already own him.
  3. Seriously hope you're not referring to me, I've been a supporter of the women's game for longer than most and regularly tell people who come in here just to criticise to bore off, I just don't see the point in pretending it's something it's not. The overhyping and trying to make out it's the same level of quality as the men's actually ends up turning off a lot of people who would otherwise be more than willing to give it a go; like Turkish for example.
  4. The tennis discussion has gone quiet but when the prize money was equalised there was a lot of noise that the women should be playing best of 5 sets instead of 3 as they're now technically getting paid more for their time than the men.
  5. The comparison ridiculousness reached peak hilarity in the last womens Euros when it looked like Ellen White was going to end up with more goals than Kane or Rooney, whoever was top at the time. The broadcasters kept listing both the mens and womens top scorers together and talking about her becoming the all time top England goalscorer. Then she never took the top spot, so they pivoted to calling her "all time England womens top scorer" and not listing the men anymore. I do think the push you're describing to see them both as equal has died off a little the last couple of years. Womens football has never been more popular in this country and attendances still aren't any better than league one level, bar the top WSL sides and even then not regularly. And they can't blame men for it, there are more women than men in this country - so they're letting themselves down.
  6. I type that one a lot too just usually into Google.
  7. Go on Welsh lasses.
  8. Two Saints players involved for Wales tonight, Rachel Rowe in the starting line up and Alice Griffiths on the bench.
  9. Experience of not being good enough isn't experience I want.
  10. Come on mate. A one year extension sure. A three year extension is either an acceptance we aren't going up soon or a worrying sign that we still think he's capable at Prem level.
  11. Oh, maybe not much of a surprise then.
  12. I think you're in for a shock mate, I reckon he'd be getting closer to £100,000 a week at this point than you realise.
  13. You're probably right, a lot of men's professional teams and a few amateur teams would win. Now we've got that out the way, either continue to watch it knowing what it is or just don't bother, thanks. Two really good goals for England, they look much better playing (shock) a natural CB at CB and a left footed player at LB.
  14. Sad isn't it really. I also feel bad for him looking at the reaction from the fans all over social media, can't be nice for him or his family but...it isn't unexpected.
  15. Yeah my post isn't meant as a criticism. I get the sense from Still that his style of play doesn't rely on a main man and we should see goals from all over the forward line and midfield.
  16. I get the sense he hasn't been brought in to bang in a load of goals next season so hope nobody is expecting 20+. I reckon 10-13.
  17. I wouldn't put Stephens committment level the same as Frannies. I've seen him bottle challenges and make no effort to get back plenty of times.
  18. FFS.
  19. Players with pace AND end product are rarer than people think and usually end up at the top clubs. To get pace in the side for a club like Saints you buy players like Sulemana and Edozie who people on here are quite happy to see the back of.
  20. Both playing in the German 2nd tier last season, I'm yet to be convinced of this. "Got what we need" isn't a bad attitude to have - it saves us money which we can use when/if we are promoted instead of spending it on players now who may never be better than Championship level anyway.
  21. Just read that we rejected a £19million bid for THB from Porto, guessing the only reason we're turning that down is because City will get a large percentage of it?
  22. Four new signings in quick succession and a new manager. Hopefully the overhaul will work out well and we'll take advantage of the extra promotion spot.
  23. Because goal scoring becomes a habit and banging in 25 next season in the Championship may be better for him than getting 4 or 5 at a lower Prem team.
  24. How would you feel about a tall striker who is good in the air and links up well, who is experienced and has 92 goals in 177 games in his career?
