OK Match thoughts. 1) Dear God somebody PLEASE shoot Gary O'Reilly - he had a SHOCKER as pundit 2) NA set up Reading to press us from the start. While it worked VERY well and suffered an uncomfortable first 15 minutes it did two things - i) It made them chase shadows in a style they were not accustomed to, at a pace and tempo they have not trained for and it showed their limitations as a footballing team. It was so obvious that all we needed to do was to weather the storm. We did. Shakily at times (especially down our left - Luke got mullered for a while) 3) MP spoke with Davis, a tweak was made, game over. Think it was about blocking their space on the left, from then on it was all about WHEN SRL or Gaston would find the killer pass. Sure Gaston loses the ball BUT FFS at least he SEES the pass especially in the final third - (and at least 20 seconds before Puncheon's brain starts saying oh I have the ball what should I do now). I guess those slating him probably appeared on the JRod is a waste of money threads 4) What the hell has MP done to JRod? Steroids? Suddenly he is so hard to knock off the ball now. 5) Up until about 50 mins there was only MoTM candidate - Davis - I mentioned that and he faded away and became less effective 6) Boruc - I mean REALLY. Federici should hang his head in shame at his challenge on JROD and especially when Boruc took a whack when dived at the strikers feet. What presence of mind when going into the goal to throw the ball safe. And his NBA skills?? Brilliant 7) Look Nige, we loved you, but today showed why NC made the change, you gave it your best shot and MP countered it. Truly think you chose the wrong job. Good luck but it will take a whole new squad for Reading to play pass & move football. Honestly? Once we weathered that storm? The result was never in doubt Davis was my MoM as he brought us into the game after that pressure, then it was the JRod show - how does Wellbeck get in the England squad ahead of JRod?

Great win, never really in doubt. Loved The Boruc moments. Dear Lord Gary O'Reily is a DREADFUL Pundit. ROFL at Abu Dhabi losing the Commentary and so we had to listen to Andy Townsend and (wait for it, No Really) Brian McDermott chatting about the first 10 mins of the second half. Think half the audience hung themselves Strewth how dull is McDermott, but he did have a :snork: on his face at the end. And what a tremendous effort by the Dubai Massive. With the banned forever 'cos we win when he ain't with us Eric away we still mustered 17 at the pub. We had a Sandstorm AND while you lot were in the Sunshine WE sat in the RAIN! On top of all that two of the lads were interviewed on National Radio here during the game. And they avoided swearing!

Yes of course, but at the end of the day Starbucks, Amazon, and many others have already been named..... Fair point, probably the TV Execs that put it on the screen had been smoking. Look I agree about the Contemporary, from Buffy to Grimm etc. With this show I think it is more the "absurd" way that characters get muddled up in the stories - and I mean absurd as in didn't see how you could do that, because tbh, it DOES make entertaining if vacuous TV. S1 where Prince Charming snuffs it fighting a Dragon & is replaced by a look-a-like farm-boy who is being forced to marry King Midas' b1tch daughter when he loves Snow White. I may be getting old but I don't remember the stories QUITE that way round. This week's episode - Red Riding Hood was actually BORN a Werewolf???... Was fine with her in hot pants working in a Diner owned by Granny (contemporary) But add that to Captain Hook (who had his hand cut off by Rumplestiltskin NOT a crocodile last week) who climbed the Beanstalk with Jennifer Morrison (who is NOT called Jack)...... It's seriously fooked up TV and that's why we both enjoy it! (But tbh I'm still waiting for the Evil Queen to turn out to have been a crazy Lesbian Dominatrix b1tch instead of a loving caring Mum - I mean COME ON the Evil Queen (the one with the Mirror on the wall) in reality just wants to be a good Mum and for her son to love her??? ) At the end of the day it's pretty shallow and fun, BUT deep down (almost in a GoT way) it is an old fashioned TV show - around the randomness of the Characters it's telling a good story. The ONLY thing they have to be careful of is not let it have an end, and not just bow down to ratings or otherwise and keep going ad infinitum.
