1. Well with all the other results in today, a point up there is a huge step towards job one - Promotion
2. I know NC doesn't like him but that's no way to treat a club legend
3. nearly choked on my chicken 4 2nd week running this time was the skate score not the food.
4. Carlton Cole unhappy at neing pulled off so he shot straight down the tunnel Almost as good as DM the tater on telly
5. OOh they wont like that
6. tee hee That sends me down to the kitchen with a smirk on my face
7. Guys, Thevman has spoken It is COMPLETELY TOTALLY TRUE He told us Holloway reads this forum (Apparently he is still trying to work out how to cook Chicken)
8. Well on the build up thread GLT states that both Lee & Lambert are fit
9. The Succulent Breasts are bathing themselves in the Yoghurt as I type, Major tactical switch today. The 3 L carton of Wyld Wood Organic Cider is chilling alongside the Chicken. Think that gives me the best Tactical options - it springs an early surprise, has staying power, but still alllows me to bring a Marstons Pedigree off the bench. I've made sure FMDP's half Saints/half Polski top is all nice and pressed ready and have Eric on speed txt ready for the score updates while he is work, and have downloaded the weather forecast. WTF ever happened to just listening to a game of footie and having a moan? Jeez
10. Shhhh don't tell Holloway
11. Bart is obviously going to start today. The game is on SportKlub channel in Poland
12. We're Saints fans. NOTHING good ever happens to us. We simply cannot believe it and (to our credit unlike some) do actually ask questions of it
13. OK Frank. The answer is Yes. Lowe was right. BUT You should have tightened the definition. Lowe WAS right about the "Concept of Sustainability and Investment in Infrastructure for the Future" That included an understanding of the need for Sports Science. That is a no brainer, non negotiable HE WAS RIGHT. Unfortunately he was an Egotistical fool who did NOT listen to advice and believed that HE had invented that concept and did NOT listen to others who held opnions on the subject, knowledge of the subject or Experience in the subject. He was, possibly one of the worst examples of why a Businessman should have his ego Surgically removed BEFORE being allowed to enter football. He WAS right, because MANY others are doing the same thing. HOWEVER his Implementation of it was flawed. His pandering to his ego caused him to be flawed and he failed, and was always going to fail, because he did NOT have Trusted Advisors around him. Oh and it wasn't actually his idea.
14. That is how this recipe started out actually, but over time have tweaked it. Shish Tawouk is more kebab, this builds from a Chicken Spatchcock. Afraid it is bung things in from the fridge to taste but Marinade base usually contains Baste the Chicken skin with Olive Oil infused with Lemon (From Abruzzo in Italy) Sprinkle Sea Salt on A drizzle (As proper chefs would say on a Qatar Airlines Ad) of Chipolte (Sauce or finely chopped) ** (Note if not available then into the Marinade add about 3 or 4 Jalapeno slices finely chopped up) Sprinkle some Herbs De Provence on the inside of the chicken before marinading Yoghurt base Tea Spoon of English Mustard Half a tea spoon of Tesco's finest Horse Radish Teaspoon of Finely chopped Lime Chilli Pickle (Indian restaurant style) Fresh ground Sea Salt & Black Pepper A twist of finely chopped freash herbs - Sage, Parsley & Thyme if I have them A sprinkle of Celery Salt 1 Clove of Garlic finely chopped/ mashed Stab the skin with a sharp knofe and rub the marinade well in, leave for a couple of hours. Basic concept courtesy of that Italian bloke Gino very Campo on The Daily Cook's Challenge some time ago Heat some oil in a pan (yeah or Butter) drop in a chopped clove of garlic for a few seconds before adding the chicken - breasts staring you in the face of course. Cook for 3 or 4 minutes then put in the oven for around 15 mins per pound + 15 mins for luck Winter Veg tonight as that was what the "boss asked for" but goes really well with a mixed salad It really doesn't come out looking like Fine Dining but it tastes bloody good. Works equally well with Beer Can Chicken on a BBQ same marinade stick an opened can of beer up it's bum place ass down on BBQ & cook
15. Get the idea behind this thread, but really FC, if you'd got in the car 30 mins earlier instead of typing the OP you could have eased back on your fuel consumption down to Blackpool
16. Uh - you missed the only obvious one. Sell your shares. 1) Find someone who wants a PL club - could be for Marketing Reasons or Ego reasons 2) Launch an IPO and sell a percentage of your shares to the fans and other investors (SLH as an example) Both of which are feasible ways to get your money back or even make money. Post Financial Fair Play the picture will change in the PL, those who take the longer term view could see a return. Although equally - in support of your view - look at QPR's Annual Report http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/queens-park-rangers/9177492/Queens-Park-Rangers-count-56-million-cost-of-joining-the-Premier-League-elite.html Their situation is slightly different in that the debts are still on the books as Shareholder Loans not as Equity. Both scenarios are feasible, depends what you are aiming for
17. Jesus, Soooo much grief from Soooooo many people. Alright already. Yes I will cook a fecking chicken again. No it will NOT contain Bananas and it will NOT be served with Uncle Ben's crappy Spanish rice. It will be split in half, marinaded in spices and Yoghurt, pan seared then finished off in the Oven properly and served with Mash & Winter Veggies. OK?? Now STOP fricking txt'ing & mailing me, I got it already
18. Doha is not Dubai. You will be bored to death. Going out for a dinner with a bottle of wine will cost you a fortune (as it does here) As mentioned, in the summer you go nowhere apart from a Shopping Mall, but as a teahcer it is no issue as you can get the hell out Dubai is best described as a City with no Soul. Doha is trying to catch up by growing very fast, BUT in all the years that it was sitting there, it had ONE huge advantage over Dubai in that it had a "proper" sense of community. The Compound living while some could find it suffocating others found it gave you the "social life" - endless dinner parties etc. It is "more strict" than Dubai and has wobbles over it's policy (recently removing the Alcohol permits at a major development for example) so the culture was far more stay at home to drink than go out. You will think the pay is good with accomodation provided, but then you will collapse in shock at the Utility Bills (3 or 4 times the UK) for a 4 bed villa you can get hit with 600 pound A MONTH electric bills in the summer. There will always be another "Fee" BUT because you will be "doing the summer exodus" this gives you the problem of where do you stay in UK at Xmas, Summer etc. You have to consider how you will accomodate yourselves. Friends and family are very happy to see you back for a week or so....then it can get a problem so you bounce around and that increases your costs - could you REALLY spend 3 weeks living with your mother-in law?. You will need a 4x4 yes partly to go off into the interior exploring at weekends in the winter but mainly to feel safe with the driving MANY of the things you take for granted will be illegal so you have to have a listen and learn attitude and you HAVE to adapt. Do that and you will be fine. Go there being died in the wool Brit - you'll go nuts. You won't be able to start a small business from home, you need liences and permits and offices and and and. Money will seem good but it will be sucked out of you like you would not believe - making saving often VERY difficult (SO many people get into financial troubles down here you wouldn't believe it) BUT. You will become an expat, you will see things differently, a weekend break will be a trip to Oman instead of Amsterdam, and a summer vacation into SE Asia will be cheaper than a flight home. So advice has to be - the two of you need jobs, you can do that and then you should jump at the chance.
19. Let's face it, to achieve quote 1, quote 2 is often required
20.

I thought you would appreciate this could even try itJ I was a very happy man. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year. So we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me.. It was her beautiful younger sister, Sofia. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, wore very tight miniskirts, and generally was Bra-less. She would regularly bend down when she was near me. I always got more than a nice view. It had to be deliberate. she never did it around anyone else. One day she called me and asked me to come over. 'To check my Sister's wedding- invitations' she said. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that she had feelings and desires for me. she couldn't overcome them anymore. She told me that she wanted me just once before I got married. She said "Before you commit your life to my sister". Well, I was in total shock, and I couldn't say a word. She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, if you want one last wild fling, just come up and have me". I was stunned and frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. I stood there for a moment.. Then turned and made a bee-line straight to the front door. I opened the door, and headed straight towards my car. Lo and behold, my entire future family was standing outside, all clapping! With tears in his eyes, my father-in-law hugged me. He said, 'Sergio, we are very happy that you have passed our little test. We couldn't ask for a better man for our daughter. Welcome to the family my son..' And the moral of this story is: Always keep your condoms in your car.
