You don't have to be a nasty or annoying player to be effective though. Plenty of teams get stuck in and have a hard mentality without having a player that's an absolute cock.

It's estimated there are 7 people in Southampton with Covid. There's no one in the General with it. The NHS has been protected, vaccines are working and studies are showing they protect against new variants. The entertainment industry has been decimated by lockdowns. Data from test events shows zero transmission. Open them up now, let people have fun and the allow the industry to recover. It's been over a year since anyone went to a proper gig. I'm absolutely bursting to go out and see live music. As for sporting events it's absolutely insane that I can't walk up the road and watch non-league football. It's even ridiculous that we can't get 10k or more in a stadium for Saints games. A lot of people are now sick and tired of sitting in their front rooms every night. Covid is pretty much over in this country now. Let's have some fun, we deserve it.

Interesting article. I guess they have a good contact in the Saints camp after reading the section where they mention what Leicester staff were saying about the red card.

Valery got sent off in the away game. I think Vardy is my most hated player in the league. The quicker someone crocks him the better.

Agreed. I bet Indians weren't moaning a couple of months ago when they could pack 60000 into stadiums for 20/20 games. Hardly out fault that their rates have rocketed. I doubt the Kiwi's were thinking about our second wave when they were down the pub over Christmas.
-
They are going to make it. Stupid Charlton.

Talking about long throws gives me an excuse to mention the time I went in the away end at Fratton to watch Tranmere play Pompey and Dave Challinor launched a throw into the box from near the halfway line which was bundled in for a very undeserved injury time equaliser. I was spotted on late night Meridian News by Pompey fans at work celebrating behind the goal which was most enjoyable.
-
Full backs take the overwhelming majority of throws. Only times it's ever really different is if someone takes a quick one or you have some dude who can wang it into the area.

I'm actually not that fussed about the ref getting it wrong because that sort of thing happens but the fact that Jon Moss (who is normally fair and decent) on VAR didn't tell the ref to have another look is beyond belief.
-
Not sure I've ever heard McCarthy speak before.
-
Really good defensive performance. Salisu and Walker Peters were excellent. The whole team battled hard and deserved the point. From the front to back they ran themselves into the ground.
-
Martin Tyler loves noshing Vardy off.
-
Hahaha, fuck you VAR.
-
This ref is decent actually
-
Carney was decent when she was doing one of our games recently. Her comments today are a joke though.
-
Absolutely love the way McCarthy is going down on top of the ball every time he catches it.
-
What's he supposed to do kick the ball and then yank his leg back just in case there's a player nearby? It's not a foul at all. It's a perfectly good tackle.
-
I liked the way Martin Tyler explained the rules of ramadan like no one knows about it. Can't wait for the Christmas games where he starts waffling on about the birth of Jesus.
-
How is it even a dodgy challenge? It's not even a foul, play on.
-
He was thinking "oops, bad touch, best win the ball. Oh that's good, I won the ball."
-
We should come out for the second half wearing hastily made t-shirts with "Fuck VAR" scrawled on in marker pen.
-
They've barely had a shot, we are defending very well.
-
Looks like it at the moment.
-
I just don't understand. Why didn't the ref look at the monitor?
-
This is mental, absolutely mental.
