  1. Tory cuts in Corporation Tax since 2010 are costing £16.5bn pa - enough to wipe out the budget deficit. https://www.ifs.org.uk/publications/9207

  5. You're bright, so its a pity your vain desire to be a polemicist sometimes overrules that. Nolan's point, such as it was, is that it was wrong to talk to the IRA. If no-one had talked to them then the peace process wouldnt have started. I'm not saying Corbyn made any contribution to the process, but to pretend he is somehow evil for talking to them whilst Thatcher is heroic is facile.
  6. Just clarify - how is Corbyn speaking to the IRA worse than Thatcher speaking and making concessions to them?

  9. Mrs Strong and Stable's new partner is the woman who managed to lose £500m of public money in a botched energy scheme. Bearing in mind NI is only around 1.5 million people she could crank that up to around £20 billion when she gets her hands on the UK.
  10. True, but Labour have also got more votes than Cameron. It reflects the collapse of the minor parties in this election rather than popularity.
  11. Why would you keep anybody away from being represented? This is a democracy, not dictatorship by the centre.
  12. Its the Voters Wot Ignored Us.

  14. Nah its split on the results so far. Around half to Tories half to Labour. Surprising, but pleasing.
  15. Making her PM despite being a ****e Home Secretary was the main error.
  16. You accidentally missed out his second sentence "But if right, May has to resign - she has squandered a majority. Brexit - shambles"
  17. The polls were actually really consistent on a raw data basis - the difference was dependent on how much young people woere estimated to turn out. Heavy rain keeping the oldies away could make the difference.
  18. lib lab snap sounds like breakfast cereal
  19. I wonder if May would give Scotland independence in exchange for Brexit?
  20. 314 could be governable for a few months with the support of the Unionists.
  21. bloody lefty.
