  1. People who don't have that ID cant vote? You're selecting who can vote? A bit like Trump. Pick off the poor and the marginalised because they wont vote for you anyway. Very democratic
  2. What ID is reasonable to be able to vote? What are reasonable steps for postal votes?
  3. You still have to prove who you are in a postal vote. The counting centre has to reconcile the ballot signature with the one they hold on record. Thats why it takes so long. Some states limit in person voting to those who can produce photo ID - and the poor and young and old tend not to have drivers licenses or passports. Other states you can vote just with a utility bill. Lets not pretend there is some particular problem with the Democrats as many of the laxest states are Republican led. In Europe most countries have a free national ID card. That doesn't exist in the UK or US. The real question is how do you get the right balance between preventing fraud and preventing legitimate voters from being able to vote. https://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id.aspx#Details
  4. My theory is that Sir Boris the Brave has negotiated a highly highly lucrative contract with the Tory party. It's enough to pay his debts, divorce bill, feed his kids and have somewhere to live - so we're talking huge. All this IF he takes full personal responsibility for backing the wrong horse in US politics, fucking up negotiations with the EU / Brexit fallout; across the board covid omnishambles and the biggest pile of debt and no plan every faced. It's got to be deliberate That way his successor can almost credibly claim - 'nothing to do with me guv' Or maybe he's just useless. Either
  5. Apparently (according to Fox) he has proposed having Republicans serve in his administration. ,
  6. She wants to get her settlement before Deutsche bank claws all the money and assets back
  7. Oh I agree. I just think he'll do all he can to put bumps in the road.
  8. Trump has just announced legal challenges starting Monday. He isnt going to concede.
  9. This pretty much sums it up
  10. Its probably to do with either Nebraska or Maine - both of whom can split their electoral colleges and give 1 vote to the other party depending on results in different parts of the state. Maybe CNN are forecasting outcome differently
  11. Its all over bar the shouting (and law suits). Thank fuck for that.
  12. In any normal election you'd need vision, compelling policies, very quick to think on your feet and to be a great orator. This time Biden got elected because he is stable, decent guy who believes in democracy and that was enough compared to the alternative.
  13. I get the sense that the whole Republican party and establishment is starting to cut him adrift
  14. One of the allegations Trump made was that there were whole batches of votes being counted without a single Trump vote in them. Fox commentator just pointed out that it is standard practice in some counties to separate the ballot papers into votes for each candidate before counting them.
  15. Gun toting homesteading fruit loops
  16. I'm watching Fox. Even their presenters are embarrassed to recap on what he claimed "The President is claiming massive evidence of fraud but we haven't see any evidence of any fraud or even heard about it". Three separate presenters are rubbishing his claims Commentator from Wall Street Journal (Murdoch owned) pointing out non of the Republican state Governors or their Attorney Generals, or even the Vice President have come out to support him or allege fraud.
  17. Reading directly from a script 🙂 He's on national tv claiming Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Michigan and Pennsylvania elections were corruptly run - but those states are all controlled by Republican Administrations. Either he's a lying schitt or his own party hate him enough to sabotage their own candidate
  18. Not quite. You and a bunch of other useful idiots lapped up a badly edited video primed to make you think what Trump wanted you to think https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/02/technology/biden-video-edited.html Here's the original if you have any interest (doubtful) https://crooked.com/podcast/joe-biden-pod-save-america-interview/
  19. That's why they're stuck on 75%. Every time they count some Biden shoves a load more in. Or something. Ask Duckie, he knows the full story.
  20. Yep you and Aint are both right, my bad, think I got confused over the stray single votes from Maine and Nebraska. .
  21. Oh 😳 That would make it simpler
  22. Looks like both Arizona and Michigan have already been called for Biden by Fox? not officially over but good as. So yes if Biden takes Nevada too but Trump gets PA, NC GA and AK, as Fox predict that would be 270 each I think
  23. Looking to me as if a 270 tie is quite possible. Biden takes Michigan and Nevada where he's leading. Trump takes the rest
  24. Pop down there and put £10,000 on for me pl
