  5. Nope....I thought she just had SFC and Mali? Apologies in advance for my ignorance
  6. @alex_crook: Just spoken to #saintsfc legend Lawrie McMenemy who was remarkably dignified over the exit of Nicola Cortese. McMenemy refused to criticise Cortese for banning him from the #saintsfc boardroom and taking down photo of 1976 FA Cup winning side. McMenemy is adamant #saintsfc players will not be affected by Cortese's exit as long as Pochettino stays
  7. True. Although I would imagine that Cortese would argue that the nett result of his involvement in the club is financially positive (i.e. that he's created more wealth than he's lost). I guess we'll never know as the amount of 'wealth generation' that we can attribute directly to Cortese will always be subjective.
  8. Why does Portsmouth need help to recover? Surely all they need to do is re-distribute some of the £300m annual income that the football club attracts to the city?
  9. What other companies does she have in her portfolio? (not doubting what you're saying, just genuinely interested/curious - cheers)

  11. You're not allowed to include facts in this thread sir - only made up stuff....
  12. Or maybe he read the many pages discussing Wang Jianlin on the "Cortese to go?" thread two days ago? It all started with this post here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48549-Cortese-to-go&p=1855050#post1855050
  13. Thinking out loud.... could it be that Cortese was running the club the way that Markus actually wanted him to run it (i.e. autocratically) and that Katharina, in Cortese's mind, was going against the wishes of her father? As I say, haven't really thought that through but...
  14. "Saints Web Forum members expressed delight that the breaking of the Cortese/Liebherr story temporarily diluted the impact of the resident wind-up posters"
  15. Anyone know the name of the aforementioned PR company? I assume it was them that 'planted' this alternative viewpoint story in the Independent?
  16. Cheers for the post FF. I hadn't read that Independent article before now and it certainly puts a different perspective on the events of the last 48 hours. Sounds like a classic case of Cortese cutting off nose to spite face if there's any truth in the article. Never a dull moment at SFC
  17. Have gone back through all your posts from 2013 (sad but true) and can't find any reference to Cortese meeting with potential buyers in London I'm afraid.

  20. @SouthamptonFC: Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the written press earlier. Here are the talking points: http://t.co/jN8UARYSci #saintsfc
  21. @alex_crook: I spoke to Christian Purslow this morning and he did not rule himself out of replacing Cortese #saintsfc
