  10. Well f*** my old boots, after 5 years of searching we've actually found a Pompey fan that 'gets it'...
  11. Could the pilot or co-pilot, if left alone in the cockpit for a few minutes, induce a controlled decompression in the cabin to make everyone unconscious, and thus leave the plane flying on auto for 8 hours?

  13. Fairy nuff... I'll answer the question now.... I vote Tory because, rightly or wrongly, my natural instinct is "small government = good; large government = bad" So, against that philosophical backdrop to the way my brain is wired, my belief is that those who need state help should receive help and those that don't don't. If a policy of encouraging people that can work back into to work is resulting in an increase in suicide rates (I don't have the overall stats to hand, so not sure if this is a case of 'same camel, different straw'?) then there is clearly something wrong with the implementation of the policy. If people are physically or mentally unable to work then the state should support them and support them well. Not sure where that places me on the "f*** 'em" scale...?
  14. Talking of broad brushes, I guess its against SWF rules to bring up Labour's record on helping 'the poor' at this juncture? Only you seem to be making the ascertain that its a 'right wing' issue... Political jostling aside, I do accept that the Tories are often poor at implementing sensible policies. (Whereas Labour are often good at implementing poor ones )
  15. Give me the details and I'll investigate their circumstances.
  16. What, field a team of players and then don't fully pay them until at least 5 years after they've left the club...? Isn't that cheating...?

  18. "The numbers somewhat lance the myth that no-one can be arsed" Or...the numbers indicate that the government's policy to make work more attractive than benefits is actually having a positive effect...
