And just in case we'd forgotten how marvelous the fans are, they wheel out yet another player to remind us.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/webster-we-re-not-feeling-the-fratton-heat-1-4311443 Oh, and they really shouldn't be as low in the league as they are, not a "competitive" team like Pompey...
-
Meanwhile, Pompey's ongoing quest to be "competitive" in League One continues.... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/appleton-chasing-double-pompey-swoop-1-4311441 Somewhere bigger and better than Pompey? Nah, can't think of any club that fits that bill Michael....surely there's no club bigger or better than Pompey....and that's before we've even considered how bloomin' marvelous the fans are....

Or just copying and pasting onto message boards, even easier.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/georgeosborne/9570872/Wont-George-Osborne-learn-the-lesson-Wealth-taxes-simply-dont-work.html "The basic truth is that Britain is already taxed as much as it can bear; it is spending that is out of control. Finding deeper savings in the government budget is not without its political risks. But a wealth tax would be the biggest, riskiest and craziest gamble of all."

Exactly - but they won't - because they want to cling onto the 'glories' of the old club and they feel that setting up a new club will somehow be disloyal to the old club. Surely 'the club' is the fans (and the bestest fans in the world in this case) so surely a new club with the old fans is better than the old club with old owners and a percentage of fans boycotting? To my mind, setting up a new club and the fans migrating over to that is probably the most loyal thing they could do right now.

@TheRealSulaiman: Protpin refused selling its secured credit at our new offer of £5m. Now we are analyzing the feasibility of accepting their offer @cfpfc1978: @TheRealSulaiman whats their offer? @TheRealSulaiman: @cfpfc1978 £17m over 5 years payment plan

They should stick to writing stuff on message boards IMO. Much more productive.

Which, somewhat tangentially, reminds me... Whatever happened to that £30,000 the fans won in the summer. Was supposed to supply schools with 'free' tickets wasn't it? Seems odd that we haven't seen any news stories on this wonderful gesture since (unless I missed it)...
-
There's quite a few multiple votes on there too. One page is almost entirely one person. Still, I'm sure Pompey mathematics will prevail in the end...

Not sure how describing what someone looks like (in the context you describe) could ever be classed as 'misguided'

Daft question number 43... If you're buying something off the Internet from someone who you don't trust (to the extent whereby you feel the need to ask for some additional ID) wouldn't a potential fraudster have fake copies of such documentation in their armoury? As such, asking for ID doesn't actually prove they're genuine. Tell me if I start thinking too hard about this...! :-)
-
Ah, fair dos. It's not something I would dish out to a complete stranger but each to their own I guess.
-
Another potentially daft question.... How does one end up with a copy of the driving licence of someone whom you bought something off the Internet?
-
100% of those currently berating the FL for the opposite reason. Guaranteed.

Come on...own up...who's been playing silly buggers with their petition...? @pn_neil_allen: The 'No to Portpin' petition now up to 1,964 - that's approx 1,300 new signatures in 1 day! http://t.co/Pw2POUsM @whorunsmyclub #Pompey

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19696253 Everton v Southampton Southampton deserved their first win of the season against Aston Villa last weekend and picking up their first three points is extremely important for them, but going to Goodison Park is a different proposition altogether. In fact, I don't see Saints picking up very many points away from home full stop. They look very vulnerable when teams go at them, and Villa didn't really offer much of a challenge in that respect. In the Championship, Nigel Adkins and his side probably felt they could go away and win at most places but I think they will learn very quickly that things are different in the top flight, especially when they travel to places like Goodison where they have to play the crowd as well as the team. The Everton fans were singing 'we're going to win the league' during their impressive win at Swansea last week. I think they are getting carried away a bit there, but they have made such a strong start and don't forget they should really have beaten Newcastle which would mean they would have even more points. You get the feeling they are going to have a really good season, although that might depend on how many injuries they get. Prediction: 2-0
