@pn_neil_allen: 10 wasted years as #Pompey bid goodbye to their stopgap. (Taken from my column in yesterday's News). http://t.co/6PFHu5ru
-
I think that qualifies as "meeting" him though....well, according to the criteria of a certain thread on the main board...
-
If this doesn't persuade Coutinho to come to Saints I don't know what will...
-
Will do (with increasing pleasure)
-
This (although much better articulated than my efforts)
-
So, if its going through the normal channels to get a dispute resolved why does MLT keep banging on about it? If its as cut and dried as MLT suggests (and there's no reason to disbelieve him) then Benali will get the cash he's duly owed. Yes, we can all form an opinion that Cortese is being a pig headed arse for letting it get to court but if he's wrong then the normal course of justice will prevail.
-
One thing I'm not understanding with this Benali house malarkey... If Cortese is in the wrong (which from the anecdotal evidence on here suggests he is) why doesn't Benali simply take Cortese to court and sort it out there?
-
Giving someone the benefit of the doubt = gullible Ok...
-
I heard it once but I'm half asleep so will bow to people more alert than myself
-
He said : "How can you judge someone you've never met?". IMO he simply missed "properly" off the end. Maybe I'm giving too much benefit of the doubt. Maybe, maybe not. I've "met" some famous people down the years....but never had a conversation with them. There's a difference between shaking someone's hand and having an indepth conversation about life and the universe.
-
Nah....just a Cortese puppet

Just watched the video for the first time. I know I'll get shot down in flames here but he says: "how can you judge someone who you haven't met?". My interpretation of that is: "how can you judge someone you haven't got to know well?". Yes, I know the word "met" sounds black and white out of context but maybe it was just a poor choice of words. He doesn't overtly say "I've never met the guy" although that's the obvious implication if we take his words literally, but on the context of the interview I think he meant "got to know well" rather than "met". As I say, reading the script of this thread, I know I'll get shot down for expressing such ridiculous benefit of the doubt but, hey Ho, it's only a football forum on the Internet so i'm site I'll survive the inevitable barrage....

Good to see the thread is keeping to the script. Can't abide ad-libbing on football forums.

@Pompeys12thMan: Following on from the Fans Conference meeting yesterday, a couple of points about the community bid & where it currently stands.. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 1. Regardless of outcome of next weeks court date, PST still looking at a completion date in early March. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 2. HNW's already put money into club to help running costs. This isn't a loan & won't be repaid but will be converted into equity.. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 3. If takeover doesn't happen HNW's lose this money (6 figure sums in many cases) That's how confident they are in the bid.. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 4. Money to purchase is in place. Call for fans to keep investing is to provide additional funds & show HNW's fans believe in bid too. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 5. PST unable to provide full details due to restrictions placed by PKF until court case over land purchase completed. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 6. Fans money is secure in solicitors escrow account. It will not be used to pay Chainrai, court costs or other fees. It's protected. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 7 (updated) If bid fails, maximum fans will lose is 2.5% of the amount returned subject to a maximum charge of £25... @Pompeys12thMan: Point 8. Council loan remains in place should it be required. It's being offered, with conditions, at extremely preferable rates to PST. @Pompeys12thMan: Point 9. Lots of clubs watching & willing this to happen. PST believe, HNW's believe. Pompey fans believe it too, it's going to happen!

@NeilAllenPN: .@OdemwingieP Fancy signing for #Pompey? We have 200,000 regular fans & generate £30m pa for the local economy. Wages won't be a problem.

@justinallen1976: @Zoggers87 There is also a Q&A which is in the paper only with him. He had a presence for sure. I also found he has a wicked sense of humour @justinallen1976: @Zoggers87 all in all a very impressive character. Players like him too. I could see that. @justinallen1976: @Zoggers87 There was an energy about him. That is what struck me.

Here's the Sun interview... @justinallen1976: #SaintsFC boss Mauricio Pochettino speaks exclusively to @TheSunNewspaper and @justinallen1976 in Barcelona. http://t.co/t8uxZRZH @justinallen1976: @SouthamptonFC fans can be assured Mauricio Pochettino is clever with much charisma and a great contacts book. I left Barcelona impressed.

Sounds like it's just a general write up of the trip rather than a specific one-to-one interview with someone then. Should still be a good read though.
-
Yep...
-
P.S. ITV's coverage is as second rate as ever
-
Posted at same time as your post above. I thought is was as much to do with Fulham standing off them if anything. Hopefully we'll press them more than that.
-
Dear Southampton FC, Please don't give Man Utd as much space as Fulham FC did today. Much obliged, Trousers
-
Yep, looking back, he got a slating for that too. Seems to be a self congratulating egotist...hmmm....maybe he should have interviewed Cortese....
