  1. Ings rested then.... Common sense prevails it would seem
  2. Spurs 0 Brighton 1 (37 mins)
  3. I agree we have a better track record away from home. (All the more reason to try and fix that particular issue) Just because Chelsea lost their last home game against a team below them, it doesn't logically follow that they are prone to losing at home to a similar team again in the next home game. If anything, it could be argued that they will be trying harder not to let it happen twice in a row. (Indeed, would be interesting to see the stats on how many times the 'big 6' have lost two home games on the bounce against lower table sides. My guess would be under 20% of the time, if not less) Either way, my hunch is that resting (starting on the bench) Ings Vs Chelsea could work out best for us IF there is any doubt that playing 3 games in a week puts him at greater risk of injuries such as a strained hamstring. I'm not citing any scientific reasoning for this, it's just a gut feel. I could be right, I could be wrong. C'est la vie.

  5. Fixed for you, to better reflect what people are actually saying. You're welcome
  6. A Gazzaniga special there
  7. So, 5 points behind Arsenal and 7 points behind Man Utd at Christmas. Could've been worse...
  8. I posted about this in the match thread. Seems to happen quite a lot (us not closing down shots on the edge of the box when there's plenty of time to do so, and then our player turning their back on the ensuing shot.)
  9. Watford 2 Man Utd 0 (54 mins) What's that all about?
  10. Fair point. Yep, if the medical experts say he can cope with 3 games in a week, then agree, he should start. I was working on the assumption that there would be an element of risk in him playing several games in quick succession. Last thing we need is for him to pick up a hamstring injury, or such like. But, if the risk of such an eventuality is relatively low then unleash the Ings!
  11. Chomp chomp chomp
  12. Agree, would rest Ings vs Chelsea... McCarthy Cedric - Stephens - Bednarek - Bertrand JWP - Romeu Armstrong - Boufal Adams - Long Subs: Gunn, Yoshida, Danso, Hojbjerg, Redmond, Obefemi, Ings
  13. Textbook
  14. A couple of draws there would be handy
  15. Yeah, but when he gets it right, he can play his "told you so" card, and when he gets it wrong he can play his "glad I was wrong" card....
  16. Yeah, I was looking at the 'table as it stands' and they're both showing in the top half as we speak.
  17. Looking like we'll be the only bottom half team to win today
  18. JRod puts Burnley 1 up at Bournemouth
  19. How on Earth...?
  20. Bizarre, isn't it?
  21. Hojbjerg to Grealish: "Here you are Jack, have a shot on goal, I'll just stand 8 feet away from you and turn my back when you shoot"
  22. Here we go....
  23. Baffles me why Ralph leaves it so late for subs (either when we're losing or winning)
