Indeed. And anyone fathomed yet how the Arsenal player doesn't get sent off for shoving the ref?
-
And THB said yesterday that the players actually prefer playing twice a week, so bodes well...
-
Nah... Wouldn't have made any difference mate, innit...

And then there's the charity shield in August of course (Which is being played in Cardiff this year)

Good point... Could they conceivable move the Ipswich match to the Wednesday...?
-
Not a fan of reverse psychology then...?

Yep, this is the difference in vibe between Martin and Eckert to me. Despite Martin having a decent season in the Championship there was always a concern that his somewhat dogmatic tactics wouldn't translate to the Premier League. Whereas, with Tonda, you get a feeling that he would actually excel in a higher league....

Apologies... On reflection, a poor attempt at banter in the euphoria of the moment!

Excuse the tangential thought but is there a scenario where we wouldn't be able to wear the yellow commemorative kit for the semi final, in terms of a colour clash? Maybe Vs Leeds (pale yellow Vs white) or Chelsea (both blue shorts)? Or maybe there's some jobsworth FA rule for Wembley semis / finals that says you have to wear your home kit if you're drawn as the designated home team...? Whilst not the end of the world, would be a bit of a shame if we couldn't wear the yellow kit through to the end of our cup run.

Yeah, if only more people had had faith in this manager being able to get a tune out of this "mediocre squad"...

Love how he comes across in this interview.... I hadn't clocked that we won the toss and chose to change ends to take advantage of the wind. Genius!

There was a period before we scored where the crowd seemed very quiet on the TV. It obviously improved immensely after the goal and into the second half. It might just have just been poor pick-up from the BBC mics of course, but it definitely came across as quite a flat atmosphere for a while before the first goal.

No chance! π

Worth listening back to the Radio Solent commentary too... Blackmore was losing his voice with emotion towards the end!

Yeah, fair point ππ»
