  1. Yep, this. Looks more and more likely by the day IMO. All a bit sad really. (Unless Cortese is planning a hostile takeover with a multi billion pound investor to propel us into the champions league of course.... )
  2. Cortese's former media mouthpiece with another 'exodus' article... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2615365/Adam-Lallana-lift-Brendan-Rodgers-Saints-star-ready-snub-Man-United-Liverpool-move.html
  3. I never was any good at this prediction malarkey...
  4. Its known as "keeping Wanyama fit"
  5. Time to give a few of the youngsters a go... Boruc Clyne - Fonte - Lovren - Targett Reed - Wanyama Davis - Lallana - Lambert Gallagher Subs: Gazza, Shaw, Chambers, Cork, Schneiderlin/JWP, Sims, McQueen
  6. Newcastle could end up in the bottom half at this rate
  7. A splendid summary sir if I may say so
  8. Finishing 8th is brilliant because it keeps the optimists and (pretend) pessimists on here happy and gloomy in equal measures...
  9. Would be mildly interesting to discover whether there has ever been an English player in the PFA team of the year that hasn't been picked in an england world cup or euros squad the same year. Any stattos out there?
  10. Hazard wins young player. Luke 3rd
  11. Worth highlighting some of that
  12. Indeed. The match of the day commentator pointed out that Gallagher 'made is presence felt' with the Everton defender as the ball was crossed in thus forcing the defender into making the error. So Gallagher can indeed take some credit for creating the goal.
  13. 'Guan' posted a couple of weeks ago that there is a £35m transfer kitty this summer. Guan has a good 'ITK' track record when it comes to transfers so it sounds like MP is pretty close to getting what he wants if we start joining up some of these dots.
  14. An agent per chance?
  15. The question I would ask Krueger: "Yourself, Reed and Pochettino have consistently said over the last several weeks that you want to concentrate on the remaining games and that you're waiting until the summer to talk about a new contract for MP to avoid any distractions. Arguably, 'putting off' MP's new contract talks has actually created much more distraction and speculation rather than prevented it. Wouldn't it have been better and a great statement of intent to have offered MP a new contract on 'Day 1' and thus put to bed the root cause of a lot of the speculation?" I guess he might answer that with: "what if we'd offered him a new contract and he turned it down? Just think how much of a distraction that would have become"
  16. Nothing I've read or heard over the last 48 hours leads me to the same conclusion.
  17. I've always been a bit of a winker....
  18. Their 2 penalty shouts to our 4. Yep, they was robbed and we weren't very good....
  19. Is it me or is this forum a much more pleasant place to be this afternoon? Can't quite put my finger on it....
  20. To my eyes, Clyne is just as good as Shaw, perhaps a smidgen better given he offers a bit more threat in front of goal than Shaw does when playing in an advanced position. I guess Shaw grabs the media (and Hodgson's) attention over and above Clyne more because of his age more than anything else (not forgetting that Clyne hasn't started as many games this season of course, which is obviously a significant factor)
  21. Jack Cork's post match comment on the transfer speculation: "All the lads speak to each other a lot and we all know that everyone wants to stay here and play here and it would be a shame to ruin what we've got going"
  22. Jack Cork (on transfer speculation): "All the lads speak to each other a lot and we all know that everyone wants to stay here and play here and it would be a shame to ruin what we've got going" http://www.player.saintsfc.co.uk/latest-news/article/3789013/date/20140426165000/page/0/name/jack-happy-after--deserved--victory
