  2. Cheers for sharing those snippets Saint Dyer. Encouraging stuff
  3. Cheers for the insights FF. Appreciated
  4. I think you should repeat this as often as possible on as many threads as possible until people get it...
  5. My drawing of Adam during that last interview....
  6. Les Reed and Gareth Rogers currently being interviewed
  7. Osvaldo v Man City
  8. A bit difficult to ignore something that doesn't exist
  9. I've not read the whole thread but I can't see many people "threatening" to unsubscribe in the melodramatic way you portray. I offered the information that it is something that I had decided to do a while back as an aside in a response to someone politely asking how to unsubscribe. The only 'drama' seems to be coming from those accusing others of being drama queens. IMO of course. Off for a few beers and a meal with the missus in a hotel on the outskirts of Norwich. A true yet slightly dull story. Have a good evening one and all.
  10. Why are some people (purposely?) confusing "not renewing subscription" with "threatening to leave"? Just because I'm not renewing my subscription in September doesn't mean I'm "leaving". I simply don't have as much desire to use the forum as I used to, so 3 posts a day and some lurking will do me fine. Cue a witty "you won't be missed" retort from one of the usual suspects

    Wanyama

    Top 6 IMO
  12. Which possibly tells you all you need to know about how well the club was run leading up to that point time...
  13. Some people are better at spending other people's money than other people are. I understand why people go for the "the money made it easy for him" line but you still have to be good at what you do in order to use that money wisely. There must be plenty of examples in the business world of CEOs not succeeding with oodles of other peoples money at their disposal?
  14. Indeed. Yes, the headline figure is "huge" but, as you say, if I was the owner of a League 1 football club I'd be giving my CEO a similar incentive to get us into the dwarfing riches of the PL. If anyone, the person to have a pop at for the size of Cortese's remuneration package is Markus.
  15. I have no problem with a CEO/Chairman earning a sum of money that is in line with the amount of success they preside over. Yes, he was "only spending other people's money" but that's what most CEOs in the land do. They spend other peoples money. Some do it wisely and achieve success, others don't. Yes, Cortese had his faults, some quite large if the hole in the commercial revenue is anything to go by, but he still warrants some plaudits for what he achieved.
  16. My thoughts entirely. Its hardly the sort of event a 'want away' manager would bother turning up at IMO.
  17. Me? Annoyed? Nah, I find the trolling mildly erotic. Only having 3 posts a day will give me more time to enjoy the eroticism. Promise you'll never stop arousing me Bazza
  18. @solentsport: Andy Awford expected to be confirmed as #Pompey boss on a permanent basis later this morning
  19. My resignation does give rise to a few vacancies on here though: - someone to hilariously post a 'groundhog day' picture whenever people bang on about the same thing over and over again - someone to post a photo of either: several bicycles welded together in a circle or a photo of the cast of the comedy gold sitcom 'Ever Decreasing Circles' whenever an argument in a thread goes down the "I'm right. No, I'm right, you're wrong. No, you're wrong, I'm right. Ner ner ner ner ner ner" path. - someone to post "chomp chomp chomp" every time Glasgow gets a bite on one of his pieces of bait - someone to rate Glasgow's bait out of 10 - someone to post a picture of Mutley receiving a medal every time Bazza, Turkish, CB Fry, Glasgow etc play the " I was right all along - told you so" card - someone to post c.74 times per day on the Pompey Takeover Saga thread to continually remind the cheats that they're quick to airbrush their recent negative past from the history books whilst still wallowing in the "glory" of reaching cup finals with players they couldn't afford during the same era. Job reference: obsessed.nutjob.#001
  20. If you pay via PayPal you have to login to PayPal and cancel your subscription from there. I cancelled my renewal a few weeks ago and my current subscription expires in September....so only a few more months until I get my life back
