What game were you watching? 1) Connolly was injured and not in the squad. 2) Papa did play on the right wing last night. We started 451 with Papa and Adam out wide then changed to 442 with Papa upfront and Adam and Lloyd out wide and then changed back to 451 late on.

Innocent until proven guilty is a concept not known to some people that have posted in this thread so far.

When the player passing the ball and the defensive line are along way apart the linesman has a near impossible job. He has to be looking at two areas of the pitch at the exact same time to see the defensive line(and Papa) and the point at which the ball is played(perhaps 40 yards behind). If the linesman looks at the ball and then back to the defensive line at that point Papa could have already made his move and may "look" offside when he wasn't. Of course last night this wasn't always the case and he was actually offside on a few occasions but was relevant in others. He is still a very good player in this league, he really needs some good coaching to tell him that his pace will allow him to delay the run for longer or angle his runs.

I have a theory that all those saying "leave the badge alone!" have a tattoo of the 1970's designed Saints badge and would feel silly if the 40 year old badge changed even though the club didn't have that badge for the first 85 years of history.

Insightful You are welcome to disagree with me but at least state why? This thread is more about people ruining the match experience for others, rather than telling them what to do. -
Alternate History - morbid reading for a monday!
Matthew Le God replied to Crab Lungs's topic in The Lounge
That isn't alternative history, that example is more a "what if future" Alternative history is things like if Hitler won the war like in Richard Harris "Fatherland" novel. A brilliant book and also a good TV movie with Miranda Richardson of Blackadder fame. -
This would be better for kits if they don't mind you copying them. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Southampton/Southampton.htm

The prices are the same for every League game. This is easy to find under the ticket tab on the OS. Hardly confusing. Matchday Pricing - scroll down http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/SeasonTickets/0,,10280,00.html

Are we talking about a source that would actually know or discussion down the pub with a random "mate"?
-
Not when you take the cost of policing over 20k Pompey fans in a foreign city to them, 20 times or more a year.

...and where did you hear that!?

I'm not telling you what you should do. Just pointing out it is strange logic to be on the concourses whilst the game is playing. You may aswell be anywhere else. It is completely illogical to pay for something and then do something else whilst the game continues. Why not just leave the house and goto the pub for a pint and pie at 3pm every Saturday. Saves you money on the ticket and you see as much of the action on the St Mary's pitch on the concourses as you do in the pub. -
So how much do you think Grant Holt and Owen Tudor-Jones cost Norwich? Under 300k really?
-
Why? They come from the Telegraph article I linked to. Where did you get the 900k from? Should be £4.5m for the other 23 clubs imo as I have shown.
-
I reckon the club could be worth £80m if in the Premiership so a bargain buy for Mr Liebherr.

Matthew Le God replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
No, getting a few beers and having a pie is for a night out on the town. Football is about the game. If you want food and drink whilst the game is going on you might aswell be in a pub rather than the stadium concourse during play. -
It is massively off!!! I'll just do League One transfers where transfer fee was disclosed. There are many more that were undisclosed to add to this list!!! BRIGHTON IN Elliott Bennett Wolves £200,000 rising to £250,000 Liam Dickinson Derby £100,000 CARLISLE IN Kevan Hurst S****horpe £145,000 Richard Offiong Hamilton Academical £75,000 CHARLTON IN Luke Holden Rhyl 10k COLCHESTER IN Joel Thomas Hamilton Academical £150,000 Magnus Okuonghae Dagenham & Redbridge £45,000 rising to £80,000 HARTLEPOOL IN Adam Boyd Leyton Orient £80,000 HUDDERSFIELD IN Robbie Simpson Coventry £500,000 Theo Robinson Watford £100,000 rising to £375,000 LEEDS IN Leigh Bromby Sheffield United £250,000 MILLWALL IN Steve Morison Stevenage Borough £130,000 MILTON KEYNES DONS IN Jermaine Easter Plymouth £200,000 NORWICH IN Grant Holt Shrewsbury £550,000 Owain Tudor Jones Swansea City £250,000 That is £3m already and doesn't included about 20 transfers with undisclosed fees, so the actual figure is probably about £4.5m - which is alot more than your 900k
-
Your figure is far too low and also doesn't take into account undisclosed transfers. You state 900k for the 23 league clubs. Norwich spent around that themselves. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfers/5494052/Transfers-League-One-summer-2009.html
-
That figure is very very very wrong!
-
And is still very possible for the 4th round with this draw or Rotherham or Luton at home.
-
All of that was before the takeover so irrelevant as that money was used to pay creditors.
-
More than £1.5m Lambert fee is rising to £1.5m, Hammond £400k, Papa Waigo would have included a big loan fee as it is with a view to buy, free transfers such as Jaidi, Murty, Harding etc would have required big signing on fees and also tying Davis to a new deal. So easily over £2m
