Saints are ahead of Huddersfield and have played 39 games compared to Huddersfield's 41. Saints can afford two defeats minimum and still be sure of promotion (as long as there isn't a massive goal difference swing), possibly more than two defeats if Huddersfield drop any more points.

My career so far... Unemployed with Sunday League reputation > Thurrock > Bradford City > S****horpe > Guinea > Ghana > Leeds United > England > Roma > Ajax > Liverpool > Aston Villa I apply for any job I see as a career progression. Highlights - Getting S****horpe promoted to League One Getting Leeds promoted to the Premier League Winning African Cup of Nations with Ghana Winning the Dutch Cup with Ajax Winning the Dutch League with Ajax Finishing 2nd in the Premier League with Aston Villa Winning the FA Cup with Aston Villa Lowlights - Getting sacked by Bradford City Getting relegated from League One with S****horpe United Getting sacked by Roma after a tycoon takeover Getting sacked by Liverpool I probably have more fun with a career game like this than I do managing Southampton. I did apply for the Saints job on a number of occasions but they turned me down, now I'm too good for them!

To find out the figure he has been sold for of course!

Orient V Saints,post match celebrations...
Matthew Le God replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Someone threw an aubergine on the pitch again? Someone did that at Bristol Rovers last August in Pardew's last game. It was a little bizarre when everyone chanted "aubergine, aubergine". -
Less than Lallana and Chamaberlain. It really does say a lot for 3rd tier Saints, that one of their squad players can start games and score goals whilst on loan to a team in the Premier League.
-
Why wouldn't they? Why wouldn't it? They are going to have to build a new one in the summer when their tiny squad gets ripped apart with loans and contracts ending.

Saints' man of the match are voted for by fans at St Mary's texting the club. Today was an away game.
-
I'd imagine he is also under a massive amount of stress at the moment with the upcoming court case next week.

Yes, you probably are. In any case, irrelevant to Saints (hopefully).

The Saints squad on a pre match stroll this morning.
-
Some Saints fans have put him on quite a pedestal considering he only played 7 games for Saints, 4 years ago.
-
Because he was on loan from West Ham.
-
Two games this season tells a story. He has either been injured (and thus a signing risk), or not deemed good enough to start for a soon to be relegated team and released before the end of the season. Where as Saints are looking for players in the event of promotion, to get them promoted again within two years.
-
He has been released before the end of the season, from a club which is soon to be relegated from a League we hope to be in next season, having only played two games this season. All very telling...
