  1. "Please play for us when the God of pounds"
  2. Blame Google translate for that. I put into it, "I've been outed".
  3. You have a choice and can listen to the away team's commentary. By signing up to Saints Player it also allows you to log into any other team website that uses Player, watch their videos of games and other things.
  4. لقد لصف الأول. نعم ، هو لي.
  5. He has a far better idea than you or I though.
  6. The QPR FM researcher rates him very highly.
  7. Any idea if Saints are happy with such a swap Simon?
  8. What is?
  9. Why the counting down to the fictional 5pm press conference? Although the opening post is a copy and paste effort from the Football Rumours website, unlike that it makes no mention of the 5pm press conference. This thread should have been deleted ages ago!
  10. Liquidshokk's photoshop efforts remind me of the Gene Wilder film "Young Frankenstein"...
  11. I fear we may be caught in an endless loop.
  12. What is boring about that? This is a forum - for discussion, someone said he had been omitted from the Bristol City squad for a friendly. I said that so had a lot of their first choice team and that it was a Bristol City XI team. If I had not said that, this thread may have gone off on a tangent of believing that statement to be significant, when it is not. I think it is far more boring to tell me that I'm being boring, when I'm actually staying on topic with relevant information.
  13. It is a Bristol City XI team. A number of their senior players are missing, David James for example isn't in goal and an academy player is playing.
  14. Adkins confirmed publicly the club bid £3.2m for Billy Sharp earlier in the transfer window. Not unreasonable to think they could make a £4.5m bid for another striker. Very unlikely Bristol City would accept such a bid though though, considering they have reportedly already turned down a larger off than that this summer from Leicester City.
  15. tbh it is a very hard call either way and can't really remember too much of him back then. However at that point in 2006 he had just been Premier League (albeit not a great season for Sunderland, but he was well worked! ) and had lots of Championship games before that winning player of the season at Ipswich, at the moment he has had two years of sitting behind one of the best defences in the 3rd tier.
  16. I'd have... Davis (2006/07 version) Baird Fonte Lundekvam Bale Lallana Surman Cork Chamberlain Lambert Jones Now that would be an awesome team! Six from 2006/07 and five from 2011/12 (although Davis does crossover, so you could say 5.5 each).
  17. Nope, complete rubbish, which if you had looked beforehand you would have seen... Derby County Baseball Ground Capacity at Closure = 18,300 Average in season before moving = 17,889 Leicester City Filbert Street Capacity at Closure = 22,000 Average in season before moving = 19,835 (were relegated that year, over 20k averages before that) Stoke City Victoria Ground capacity at Closure = 25,000 Average in season before moving = 12,748 Stoke saw no significant increase for 11 years after moving to a new stadium - when they reached the Premier League. Reading Elm Park capacity at Closure = 15,500 Average in season before move = 9,676 Reading saw no significant increase in attendance until they reached the upper Championship/Premier League 5 years after moving. Sunderland Roker Park capacity at Closure = 22,500 Average in season before moving = 20,847 Newcastle United St Jame's Park capacity before 1998 to 2000 expansion expansion project = 36,610 Average in season before expansion = 36,333 All goes to show, if you want to fill a larger stadium, you need to be close to filling the current smaller one! Something Pompey don't do! Yet their fans still peddle the myth that a new stadium will attract more fans than the fanbase at the old stadium showed evidence for.
  18. And all I said, is he should be careful about answering questions like that in a second language. Then got jumped on. I wasn't having a go at you or him.
  19. The fun is watching Saints win. Anything that may help that should be done, do you not agree? Hence why Leeds and Simon Grayson did this... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14188973.stm We don't want Leeds to have a ban on Twitter, our players giving team news away and Leeds beating us on the opening day do we?
  20. I wasn't talking about his reply in this case, but just answering questions like that in the future. However, West Brom do now know there is a possibility he could play. Something that if it were a competitive game, the club may not want made public. Of course in this case it doesn't matter at all and is a mountain out of a molehill.
  21. He'll have to be careful about answering tweets like that in the future for competitive games, as Adkins won't like team info made public.
  22. He made it up then.
  23. At no point in the video does Cortese say that. Complete fabrication. 14th/15th isn't really "mid table". Saints achieved 8th, 10th and 12th at St Mary's with Rupert Lowe in charge and not investing hence the 20th in the last season of Premier League football at St Mary's. Liebherr/Cortese are clearly investing, hence multi million pound category one academy and training ground that wouldn't look out of place at Chelsea/Man Utd. You don't do that to remain in the bottom half of the Premier League. In any case why do you think "in reality at best we're a 14/15th Prem club"? Only 10 current Premier League teams averaged 30k+ last season, Saints did every season whilst in the Premier League (including the relegation season). That is a good indication of size.
  24. What makes you think that?
