We have been absolutely terrible this season. Yet every home game has sold out. That shows the stadium is currently too small and we are missing out on revenue that could be used to make the team better. We only have 2 players on loan at Göztepe. Both were extremely cheap. Sport Republic have managed them well enough to get them competing for European places when they weren't previously. Ig shows they can run a club. Sure many Saints fans won't care until they turn it around for us, but it does shoe they are capable of getting things right in a relatively decent league.

They've messed up a lot of things with us. But how do you think they've got Göztepe to 4th? Sure, you might not care about Göztepe, but they've done very well. What does a protest or turning the stadium atmosphere toxic achieve? It doesn't help turn results around, if anything a negative match atmosphere makes it harder. What do you what then to publicly acknowledge? What do you want them to publicly state about a plan that would satisfy you? The business and football operation aren't seperate, they are intertwined. Increasing revenue helps us spend more on players and hopefully a better team performance. So it is not irrelevant at all.

What checks are you suggesting they should have done that they didn't do? Plus why would Gao care beyond getting the best price possible?

Anything other than a instant return would be a financial disaster for the club. The parachute payments decrease each year it takes to be promoted until they stop. Decreasing revenue from parachute payments will lead to a significantly reduced wage bill and transfer budgets making it even harder to be promoted when competing with teams relegated from the PL in future years with parachute payments of their own.

How does that help? They will be aware they've fucked up. They have very little incentive to sell the club at the moment as it would be at a huge loss compared to what has been spent. We are heading towards relegation and the club value will nose dive until we get promoted again. It makes zero sense for them to sell at a huge loss.

I am right. 6 points from 19 games gives us a points per game that would see us on 12 points from 38 games if it continued at the same rate. Of course this is only using points per game, so unlikely to be how it pans out.

On points per game we are heading for 12 points, which beats Derby's 11. 😉

Stephens is injured

Doesn't really work when Messi has not played a single game in the PL or at St Mary's and both Cornet and Onuachu have.

He improved his finishing position in each of the 4 seasons with MK Dons and Swansea. His last two seasons in the top half show he is capable of managing a team above the bottom half of the Championship. I'm not going to deny he was clearly was out of his depth in the Premier League.

His last two Championship seasons were 4th and 10th in a 24 team league.

Yep, plus Saints are benefitting as well for the reasons I listed.

Two is not 'a load'. Plus neither of them cost much. Allows them to get regular gametime in a European league in conditions Sport Republic control and helps with work permits.
