  1. Spoken like a true Libran. Interestingly (or not), all these "professional" personality tests like Myers Briggs work in exactly the same way as astrology - take a broad, vague and generally positive statement and tell people it applies to them. I still can't get my head around how supposedly intelligent people fall for that crap.
  2. Tommy Forecast didn't touch the ball his entire career.
  3. What’s the team?
  4. Nice to see it being modelled by Larios and Ross Stewart.
  5. What stand are we making? I'd quite like a replica Archers Road although I'd settle for Milton Road.
  6. Out of interest, where do you stand on the cultural appropriation argument?
  7. Dunno mate, the packet was inverted as is the modern way.
  8. Have to say I quite enjoyed it when the empty crisp packet blew onto the pitch, great movement and so so brave. Other than that I thought it was a bit boring.
  9. It's pretty simple, first and foremost his job was to get us promoted - that was his remit and let's not forget SR wanted to win the league, not just get promoted. We're a decent club with parachute payments, a decent squad for this level and better resources than most. He masterminded the transfer policies, he picked the manager and with something like 8 or 9 games left we're pretty much out of the automatic promotion picture. That's a big fat failure.
  10. If the manager honestly thought Bree was a better bet and it wasn't fitness related then I'll absolutely blame Martin. Mental decision (in all seriousness).
  11. Nope, couldn't give a flying fuck. He's another bullshit merchant who will bang on about alignment and long term projects to deflect from results. His job was to get us promoted and admittedly we could still do it but pretty unlikely. He'll suit Man United - they want results and instead he'll give them a project and tell them to be patient. As you say, he's got the big calls wrong. On a personal level he's obviously got no integrity (that's assuming he has resigned), he must have spent the summer trying to persuade players like KWP to stay and the moment he gets a sniff of a decent job he can't even be arsed to stay till the end of the season. Yeah, he can do one.
  12. Fat cunts who overflow into the seat next to them. Either stop eating or buy two seats.
  13. Sorry, I forget sometimes things that appear simple need to be explained a bit. I was replying to a quote about playing after an international break - stands to reason that a team will have an improved chance against a better team if they have more preparation time. Yes, we'll have had more time as well but Boro should give us a harder game than if we'd played them in the middle of a three game week. Hopefully that was clear enough - if not then I really can't help you.
  14. No, which is why I didn't say that.
  15. Yeah we don’t always look quite so good after a break. Some of that will be down to the opposition too though, they’ll also have had a break, maybe clear up some injuries but also a lot of time to specifically prepare for how we play. ‘Boro probably won’t make playoffs but imagine they’ll see this as a game they need to get something out of. An early goal for us could deflate them.
  16. I agree with you, Truth Social is a great investment, probably the best investment ever. I've been talking to some people, clever people, and a lot of them are saying this is biggest thing in investments since history began. If I had a pot to piss in I'd be investing it in Truth Social for sure. You should definitely do it. Everything you own - would be mental not to. Good luck mate!
  17. Yeah but politicians are all the same. Umm something about defining a woman, and boats.
  18. Ha ha, hilarious. Fact of the matter is even you think there should be a by-election. You even think it's principled. Problem with you is that every time SOG comes out with something you immediately go the opposite way. It was exactly the same with Brexit - remember labelling Julian Lewis a remainer? Busted flush mate.
  19. This is strange because when Anna Soubrey et al defected to Change UK in early 2019 you compared them to Douglas Carswell who defected to UKIP and said, "Wonder if they’ll be as principled as the tories that defected to UKIP and both fought by elections. Somehow I doubt it." Here's the link: So I'm guessing you think a by election would actually be principled? Incidentally Carswell resigned on 28th August 2014 and the next GE was in 7th May 2015 so in both Lee Anderson and Douglas Carswell situations there was less than a year before a GE. Interweb never forgets.
  20. I know Mane gets dragged up a lot but my recollection isn't that of Mane being universally slated. Obviously there will be some but it didn't feel like overwhelming negative - maybe that's memory playing tricks on me. With regard to KS - he needs to be better, simple as that. His output is way behind Fraser and Edozie even on a minutes per goal/assist basis. He may have more pace and a few more tricks but he's not making them count and is why he's second or third choice. The ball is in his court - every time he comes on he has a tremendous opportunity and he's not going to get much better than playing in the championship in this team. I've defended him in the past but he can't complain; if he thinks he's that good then he needs to deliver.
  21. Obviously hope you're right but people like Scaramucci have done pretty well out of knocking Trump and predicting his demise to an audience desperate to hear it. CNN, MSNBC and to an extent the BBC lap it up and there's a cast of familiar faces like Scaramucci, Mary Trump and Michael Cohen always on hand to provide it. It's a comforting little bubble but none of them know what's likely to happen anymore than the rest of us do. The actions of the Supreme Court are the most worrying aspect - they're doing exactly what Trump wants them to do which is delay as much as possible. About the only saving grace I can see for the Democrats is that the abortion issue is hitting Republicans hard.
  22. I think this is an opportunity for Martin to say how brave the firefighters have been. Tremendous courage. So so proud of them.
  23. I had a dream last night that Russell Martin was a contestant on Mastermind and all his answers were "Is it Jack Stephens?"
  24. Jeez, really? That's mental. I saw the press conference but obviously they didn't go into detail. Can understand him coming off social media but what sort of sick twat writes stuff like that? Even if they're on a wind up it's well beyond the realms of normal behaviour. Anyone writing that kind of thing needs help. I actually like Smallbone - I don't think he's suited to a more defensive role but further forward I think he's pretty good. Keeps the ball moving, decent passer, good vision and weighs in with a few goals.
