  1. Ale house? Fucks sake, call it a pub
  2. Different thing Whelk, you're confusing raising awareness with changing peoples minds.
  3. Well if, as you think, the idea is publicity/raise awareness then they really shouldn't bother. Everyone and their dog is aware of climate change and the manmade drivers behind it. It's akin to change your profile pic on facebook and thinking you've made a difference to child poverty. Least Swampy had a concrete aim in mind (no pun intended) rather than, the very-fucking-millennial, raising awareness.
  4. Yep, all about publicity. Up till they started doing their thing I had no idea there was a link between oil and climate change so fair play to them. Anyway, I'm off to tar and feather Nelsons Column to raise awareness about the relentless march of time.
  5. Apparently Brentford were sniffing round Welington last summer and Sao Paolo wanted 19M euros for him. That scouting report didn’t sound that promising so might just be an ambitious agent trying to talk him up a bit
  6. I think you've called everyone on Saintsweb a thick cunt at some point or another 😉
  7. Do you think there will ever be a boy that can swim faster than a shark?
  8. Have the Tories got anything other than the fabricated tax rises of Labour? Fuck me it’s tedious and coming from a party that’s given us the highest tax burden we’ve ever had, promised a high wage economy and then protested against wage increases, it’s hypocritical. Paraphrasing Alexie Sayle, Least you know where you are with the Tories, yeah, you’re fucked.
  9. Very sad news and really sorry for your loss Noodles. Rest in peace Elijah.
  10. Is Nigel now living in fantasy land?
  11. I dunno, can write off the Man City game but Everton and Leicester away are (or should be winnable) and title race could be over by the last game with Arsenal.
  12. They’re Serbian
  13. So far he's been linked with Villa, Man Utd, West Ham, Leicester, Newcastle, Leverkusen and Roma. Lad will be pissed off if he turns up at us or Leicester.
  14. That's not too bad, I really like just over half of it.
  15. Pretty sure that if you asked most clubs they'd say they would prefer to get players in early. I imagine it's probably possible to get players in early too, they may not be the ones you really want though.
  16. Was listening to a pollster yesterday who was saying that 45% of people haven't decided who to vote for yet. Was either on Times Radio or Newsagents podcast. He did clarify that many of them have decided who they're NOT going to vote for but still goes to show that there's plenty more still to play for.
  17. Easy to forget the lad is only 20. I was disappointed he didn't play more last season and didn't have the impact when he did but he's got time on his side. His big problem is he'll likely get even less time next season so it'll be a big call on whether to send him out on loan or hope he can improve whilst still being a bit part player. Definitely think he deserved to play more when Downes was injured and thought he showed some really good flashes against Liverpool away where he received the ball on the half turn a few times - something he hadn't showed before and Lavia was so good at.
  18. On the face of it Tammy Abrahams would be decent - tall, quick(ish), can handle the physicality, bit of experience and scores goals. Only thing that makes me wary is he'll be a player slowly working his way down his expectations. Must be hard when you're a young kid being touted as a future star and things start to level off and that progression to the next level never quite happens. Signing Abraham now is a different proposition to signing him straight out of the youth team with hunger for games and a desire to prove a point. Broja falls into the same category to an extent. It's the kind of signing you expect West Ham to make. Obviously not all players in a similar position react the same way but I'd want to be confident of his motivation for more than just wages. Having said that, RM strikes me as the kind of manager who can make players fall in love with the game again. Oh, and that's before the injuries are taken into account - what was he out for last season?
  19. Unfortunately Charles Manson died in 2017, good shout though and had forgotten about him. Are there any other serial killers who could do a job for us?
  20. If we got nuked then we wouldn't have to worry about immigration and would definitely STOP THE BOATS. Maybe something for Reform to think about there.
  21. To be fair, all the major parties are probably going to get some wrong 'uns get through the initial vetting process and reform are probably in a worse position than most to weed them out given they have less resources. I'm sure we'll see Labour and the Tories with prospective candidates with something to be embarrassed about. What's more shocking is Reform standing by their man, can understand the free speech element but you'd think they'd at least condemn the statements themselves.
  22. If the conservatives and reform were to merge they could call themselves CONFORM.
  23. Nice little edit there, otherwise it would have looked like you were only bothered about anti semitism when soggy comes out with it.
