I'm going to buck the trend and go with Delap. He's cheaper for one thing - latest report had City wanting 10M and Chelsea still want around 30M for Broja. Then there's the injury concerns around Broja and whether he's still the player he once was. Mainly though I think Delap will probably suit us better. If we're playing with a back 5 then we'll need someone able to hold the ball up, play with his back to goal etc - one of the problems we had when we switched to a back 5 was A Armstrong couldn't hold it up and bring others into play. Delap is a big old unit and looks like he can do that role - he's also capable of turning his man and he's got a decent turn of pace. Broja has (or at least had) the pace but I think he's more the kind of player that plays off the shoulder etc. I thought Broja was great for us but he did go off the boil, has had a really bad injury and hasn't got back into form so his price would need to come way down before I'd take a chance on him.

Unfortunately isn't in the Denmark squad - no idea why, Danish fans were pretty pissed off about it

Definitely the most exciting link I've seen.

I think Martin was still at Norwich when Aarons arrived there as well? Martin puts a lot of store into character so assume they'd have a decent idea of what he's like and whether he'd be a good fit.

Gavin Newsom? Only seen a few interviews with him but has come across really well.

Thanks for those links, interesting reads. I only watched a bit of the debate last night but from what I saw Sunak was doing OK but his constant interruptions spoilt it completely. Starmer frustrated me again. I guess he isn't the kind of person who does well in those situations but a decent orator could have the tories on toast. It's all too late anyway, I doubt that many watched and the ones that did have probably already made up their minds.

What were the admission rates like? I only ask because that was supposed to be the reasoning behind lockdown rather than mortality.

Saints Kits Season 2024/25 - Page 24 NSFW

I quite like it although could do with some work on the wavy outside lines. -
Always had a feeling KWP would be off so not really a surprise. I can’t see us getting anything like 25M for him, not with only a year left on his contract. Reckon it’ll be more like 15M. Japanese lad sounds decent though.

Yeah, I mean I like a lot of Green stuff but then I also like Nige. I mean, he's one of us isn't he? A proper man of the people who tells it like it is, understands "our" culture and not afraid to shake up the establishment. He doesn't use the word footy either and that's a big plus point.

I did one of those "Who should you vote for" questionnaires the other day and apparently I'm 60% Green, 20% Lib Dem and 20% Labour. Not really surprising though as individually there's a load of Green policies that I like but put them all together and they'd crash the economy quicker than you can say Liz Truss. I'm still undecided though - it's a toss up between Greens and Reform for me.

We've been linked with Karsdorp before, file this under lazy agent trying to drum up interest.

You're wasted on here Whelk. You should be out campaigning and going door-to-door.

How about we just wait and see? This thing is on an absolute knife edge and I can't call it either way.

Different thing Whelk, you're confusing raising awareness with changing peoples minds. -

Well if, as you think, the idea is publicity/raise awareness then they really shouldn't bother. Everyone and their dog is aware of climate change and the manmade drivers behind it. It's akin to change your profile pic on facebook and thinking you've made a difference to child poverty. Least Swampy had a concrete aim in mind (no pun intended) rather than, the very-fucking-millennial, raising awareness. -

Yep, all about publicity. Up till they started doing their thing I had no idea there was a link between oil and climate change so fair play to them. Anyway, I'm off to tar and feather Nelsons Column to raise awareness about the relentless march of time. -
Apparently Brentford were sniffing round Welington last summer and Sao Paolo wanted 19M euros for him. That scouting report didn’t sound that promising so might just be an ambitious agent trying to talk him up a bit

I think you've called everyone on Saintsweb a thick cunt at some point or another 😉

Have the Tories got anything other than the fabricated tax rises of Labour? Fuck me it’s tedious and coming from a party that’s given us the highest tax burden we’ve ever had, promised a high wage economy and then protested against wage increases, it’s hypocritical. Paraphrasing Alexie Sayle, Least you know where you are with the Tories, yeah, you’re fucked.
