Yeah, I did laugh at the tories getting worked up when they would have known about it before this story broke (and probably instigated it). Regardless, it would be useful to have a bit more context because at face value it's not a good look for the BBC.

This is the problem with the online world. You can't burn it. Back in the good old days we'd have a bonfire outside a library but wokeness and 'elf and safety stopped all that. TBF the headline about civil servants within the BBC is more concerning.

No one really talks about Bielsa and spying because there's so much other stuff about him to talk about and I'd actually forgotten the whole thing with Bielsa spying until this all blew up. Always feel it's a difficult wire to balance on with local journalists. On the one hand we want them to be supportive of the club and back them, and on the other hand we also want them asking the difficult uncomfortable questions. In terms of Blackmore, for a radio commentator I think he does a decent job of conveying excitement but I've also noticed that during games he quite often gets things wrong.

I'm a little confused then. You think "Currently political decisions tend to be very much along the lines of traditional party values - ie left and right," But you also think there's not much difference between labour and tory. TBH I can't really be arsed, the whole left/right stuff bores the hell out of me and feels largely irrelevant.

I personally quite like Henry Winter a lot. In fact I think so much of him that I'd like the club to present him some kind of award for journalism and present it to him on the pitch at half time on Sunday. Could have the scoreboards showing some of his best journalism as we presented it to him and it'll give the crowd the opportunity to join in the celebration.

I've heard some of the mods are very good but I've only ever played the plain vanilla game. It's just the right level of complexity for me - I don't have the patience for games that allow you to micro manage absolutely everything. Last time I played a football manager game I gave up really early on simply because the amount of options was overwhelming. I'm sure there's ways of delegating but I couldn't be arsed to find out how.

Manic Miner was good fun for a while. Haven't really got the time for all these games that take forever to complete but every so often I'll indulge my megalomania and play Rome Total War.

it does seem to be that way although I'm surprised that Spors seems to have got away without any questions being aimed towards him. It’s a good point but there’s not much of an alternative (if they want to go for a very severe punishment anyway). I guess they could suspend them from the league and ban them from loaning out players which would effectively mean they would probably sell all their players and most of the youth team players. You’d get a lot of kickback from the players union on that though.

Possibly although I think it's as much that the club wanted rid of Sugawara due to wages and Tonda not really rating him and wanting a more physical option at RB. Fair play to Matsuki though. I thought he looked a bit lightweight initially but he's developed that part of his game and a decent option and definitely more of a goal threat than Fellows. Will be interesting to see what the club do in terms of contract - he's 23 and just under two years left so I'd be thinking about a new contract if he carries on improving like he has done.

I think it was 12 months during which they played 6 games so depends which way you look at it. The ban itself was talked about as a 12 month ban. Regardless, that still doesn't really answer the question about what consequences we could enact if we feel the penalty is too excessive.
