Be worth it just to sort the dressing room out.

Good post and I'm in the same camp. I wouldn't be gutted if Still went but I'm not sure changing him is going to make that much difference either.
-
Always quite liked Alfie House - seems a decent lad and generally quite fair on TSP.
-
No one ever does (apart from GM who's a couple of cans short of a six pack).

While I can feel a bit sorry for Still in regards to Stewart getting injured it's worth remembering he took ages before giving him a go. You can't really talk about what a huge loss he is when you make a decision to leave him out and use him as striker of last resort (appreciate Downs now has the title sewn up).

You're more than welcome. Always happy to help. I just thought it worth pointing out that Charlie Kirk denied the result of a legitimate democratic election without any evidence whatsoever. That would make him either stupid, or a shill who based his opinions not on fact but on whatever would benefit him at that particular time. The girl on TikTok probably at least believes what she's saying.

One denied the result of a legitimate democratic election, and the other didn't?

There's no free demo as far as I can see. -
Not all crosses are the same though and Fellows has shown enough variation previously. He can play it in the air, along the ground, cut back to the penalty spot for a midfield runner or a dink to the back post. If he’s doing that and we’re not scoring then you can’t blame him - that’s a team issue.
-
Can see where you’re coming from but if he’s supplying decent crosses into the box and we can’t find a way to score from them then I think that says more about the rest of the team than it does Fellows.

Yeah, my constituency, New Forest East, is true blue all the way so frankly it really didn't matter whether I voted tactically or not because the Tories would generally get close or above 50% of the electorate anyway. I can see that changing though with a surge for reform and a collapse of the Tory vote which (hopefully) might actually leave a door open for either Labour or Lib Dems but equally it could leave me in the unenviable position of having the two main contenders being Reform and the Tories. If push comes to shove I could vote Tory but certainly not a decision I would particularly relish.
-
Here's an interesting conundrum for lib dem, green and labour supporters - would you consider voting tactically and voting Tory to stop a reform government? I've voted tactically before and voted both lib dem and labour - both have felt like easy choices and didn't involve much soul searching. Not sure I'd be able to say the same about voting Tory tactically though.

I'll admit to being excited when we signed him. The physical profile looked good and I expected him to be a similar player to Wilson Isidor at Sunderland - tall, pretty quick and a bit of physical presence. Based on what I've seen so far he looks a long way from that which is a shame. I hate criticising attitude etc because for all I know he could be trying really hard but I can see why people might look at him and think he isn't putting a shift in. Almost feel like Still needs to pull him aside and tell him to forget about the finer aspects of the game and concentrate on being a nuisance to defenders. Yeah, disappointing so far.
-
I've thought that for a while too and have stopped watching him regularly.

I’ll binge it when it’s finished but good to know it’s decent. TBH I didn’t mind Romulus, yeah, a bit generic and a few unnecessary callbacks but I thought it better than Prometheus and Aliens 3 and 4.

I'm currently reading "The End of the world as we know it" which is an anthology based on The Stand by Stephen King. Got some decent authors like Joe R Lansdale and S A Cosby and so far I'm enjoying it. Couple of stories haven't quite hit the mark but most have been good and particularly enjoyed the Joe R Lansdale one. Also reading "Cool Hand Luke". Haven't seen the film but for some reason thought it was a western (which it isn't), setup so far seems to be building the main character to be some anti-authoritarian rebel in the style of RP McMurphy in One flew over the cuckoo's nest which is right up my alley.

I could be mistaken but I thought Still did mention Downs. Agree though that he probably is 4th choice at the moment but I do expect him to come back into the matchday squad at some point. Obviously seems to be quite a steep learning curve for both Downs and Quarshie but they've not been helped by a team struggling for confidence and getting to grips with a new style so hopefully with a few wins that'll start to change. I think Quarshie in particular will start to get used more simply because of his recovery pace which will allow us to press higher up and keep distances short.

Downs might be a long term answer, hard to say as we've barely seen much of him. I think he would have struggled yesterday though because the service was so poor and i thought Archer did a decent job of putting himself about. Whoever we play up front, we need to get more bodies in the box when we cross - striker near post, Azaz arriving late on around the penalty spot and the opposite winger at the back stick. Even decent strikers are going to struggle if you pit them up against three or more defenders.
-
How else are we going to keep score?
-
I thought he did OK and showed a few nice touches but mostly played it safe as you'd probably expect of a young lad making his debut. I'd probably give him a start over Downes but that's more because Downes deserves to be dropped atm.
-
Such a shame, loved watching his fights and he seemed like a decent genuine bloke too. RIP Ricky
-
Definitely got his limitations - no real physical side to his game so he's not going to impose himself on games and he doesn't seem like he can dribble either so I don't expect him to cope that well when he's being tightly marked. What he can do is pick a pass and his finishing looks decent from clips and his record at both Plymouth and 'Boro. He was our third choice and in an ideal world we'd have had either Spertsyan or Rudoni but we're here now and the team will need to work on finding him with accurate passes rather than just lumping the ball aimlessly forward. I think it can work out for him but we're going to have to do a lot of work on the training pitch.

There was some talk at the time that Wilder and the owners clashed over transfer strategy - owners were going down the data driven route and Wilder wanted more of a say. Not sure how true that is but Wilder leaving hasn't done them any favours.
