  1. Of course they are. My point was with trousers saying this is #simple. Clearly it's not.
  2. Presumably because said random supporter doesn't have the expertise in that area? Probably true, I'll give you that, however the correlation is that said random supporter doesn't have the expertise to prejudge the merit of any signings we do make either.
  3. #bottlejob This "experienced quality" argument is a load of bollocks if you're not prepared to put your money where your mouth is and name anyone. Surely it would be easy if it were so #simple? From what I can see we've already got a load of experienced quality in the squad. They've already achieved promotion once and yet we will probably be wanting to move half of them on given the chance. Wrong type of "experienced quality"?
  4. Experienced quality eh? Presume that means trying to keep McCarthy, Bednarek, Stephens, Smallbone, Aribo, Fraser, Taylor, BBD? It’s really about signing decent players. The experience part is pretty irrelevant.
  5. I’m not too fussed if Edozie goes although as the squad stands then he’s probably the best wide left option we have (yeah that ain’t saying much). Would like to think we’d have options in mind if he does go.
  6. Brugge apparently in talks over a permanent transfer of Edozie
  7. My money is on Besfort Zeneli for the creative midfielder. We were linked a few weeks ago and hasn't really been any rumours of midfielders since. Plays a bit like Stu Armstrong and has a decent crossfield pass which Still seems to like.
  8. I can definitely understand the argument for keeping Armstrong although I probably would shift him on if the right offer came in. BBD though? I just don't see him working out at all and whatever he once had seems to have gone. Even Sheff Utd fans didn't rate him last season and they loved him the season they got relegated. No pace, no tricks to get past a player whatsoever. Hopefully some mug team will fancy a shot at returning him to previous form but I think we may end up loaning him out again.
  9. You can probably add Brum into the mix for automatic - they've got momentum and cash. I reckon West Brom will fall off a bit and Derby could surprise a few people.
  10. Not so sure now, feels like Des Walker after Overmars destroyed him. Just like his namesake I don’t think he’s anywhere near the player he once was without that pace.
  11. I always pretend it was something by The Jam but actually it was Boxer Beat by JoBoxers.
  12. Furuhashi didn't last long at Nice then. Didn't he only sign in January and for a decent wedge? Clips I've seen of him at Celtic looked decent but lots of players look good for Celtic and fail elsewhere. Shows the amount of money Brum are prepared to spend though.
  13. Damion Downs is a BEAST There's some good stuff in there, he's not a premier league quality striker but you don't get them for what is it, 6.8M? He's really only had one full season of mens football so there will be lots to improve in his game and hopefully we'll get to see that. Plus he'll probably be understudy to Stewart initially.
  14. I guess it depends how we see Armstrong - if it's as a central striker then no, I think we'd be happy to stick with what we've got with Archer being the obvious person to step up. If it's as a right side of a three or a more conventional wide player then I think we probably would get someone else in. We've got a few who can play that role with Dibling being the obvious but doubtful he'll be here in September and after that I guess we're looking at Aribo or even Edozie?
  15. It's not just finances though - their owner is barking mad. His managerial appointments are generally bizarre and whenever he gets a decent one like Rosenior he sacks them.
  16. I still quite like it although the two different reds and not having stripes on the back let it down a bit.
  17. Terrible news about Jota but releasing a new kit is completely unconnected. Surely no one is seriously going to take offence, and why would they?
  18. Difficult to say, formations tend to vary although he does like wingers and his teams generally get more crosses in than most teams. I’m not expecting a dogmatic attachment to any particular formation.
  19. I agree on Archer and think he’ll do well for us. He’s a bit similar to Balogun and Will Still got the best out of him. Someone like Downs or Stewart gives us another dimension and should create space for Archer to exploit.
  20. You were banging on a while ago about the Monkees not being very good. CBA to find it now.
  21. I nearly put “Pleasant valley Sunday” by the monkees just to annoy you. Actually I do really like that track but didn’t make the cut.
  22. Cheers, yeah, that's the one on one of those Radio 2 Live Lounge type compilations I think? I remember having to buy the whole CD to get it on the jukebox but sounds great. I've got this fella:https://soundleisure.com/product/sl15-slimline-cd-jukebox/ It's probably the most self indulgent thing I've bought but bloody amazing.
  23. Cheers, yep, well before my time too but loads to like about Small Faces and Steve Marriott voice is great.
