What on earth is a shadow striker? Sounds like something we should be shipping to Ukraine.

I didn't watch the game so it's hard for me to comment but there's a world of difference between pre-season friendlies and competitive games. Personally I wouldn't make any kind of judgement, good or bad, on the basis of a pre-season friendly.

Slightly adjacent to us but seems like Galatasary have had a 20M+ bid accepted for Gabriel Sara who some have thought could be a decent fallback if Matt O'Riley doesn't happen. Just goes to show how expensive even non-premier league players can be. My YouTube algorithm still chucks up a load of Leeds videos and they seem to be quite excited by the idea they could get Rak-Sakyi. As an antidote to this lull in the transfer window I'd recommend looking at Leeds videos of the play off final both previews and post match - they're quite funny with the benefit of hindsight.

Suspect she'll get tired of all the playing around at the back soon enough.

I thought the scouts had an age limit?

Ah, you're changing the goalposts now. First it was he didn't have that forward pass and now it's a combination of doesn't do it enough/told to play that way. Tell you what, you make up your mind which it is and I'll get back to you.

What, like the pass Smallbone made for Armstrong to score in the play off final? Front facing killer pass like that?
-
Yeah, don’t blame the club for signing him and can see why they did. He even looked decent in his first few games but for whatever reason it’s not happened and can’t see it ever working out now.
-
Yeah, that’s bullshit.

Indeed and she’s already using the border bill that Trump caused to fail as a decent attack against him. I think the phrase she used was “proof that Trump doesn’t care about the border, he only cares about himself”.

Sort of linked to Goztepe but Welington - on the total saints podcast last night Steve Grant was talking about highly regarded he was in Brazil. Would love to know where he found that as seems precious little on him and what there is definitely isn't complimentary.

I'm not fussy tbh. Whatever you got. Beats people talking about goalkeepers or circle of twats.

Rule 1 for the teachers and sisters please.

Contract until 2026 and chairman saying it would take a big bid for them to sell. Of course they all say that but they got a good deal on Gyokeros (or however you spell it) so a deal wouldn't be easy. Sara at Norwich is the same with a contract 'till 2026. I think a loan at Celtic for Charles makes sense but makes the O'Riley deal much more expensive if we have to replace Charles (which I think we probably do).

People (mostly sports commentators) adding "years of age". As in Lamine Yamal, just 17 years of age. He's 17. Just say he's 17. That's all that's required. No one is going to mistake it for 17 stone (of weight) or 17 metres (of height).

Personally think Camara was a potential if the Downes deal didn't happen. Camara really isn't a similar player to O'Riley - 1 goal and 4 assists in over 30 games last season.

Since when have we been allowed to pick the club we support, and why wasn't I told? Fucks sake, it's probably too late now. -
Which begs the question, what the fuck you doing on this thread?
-
Decent signing on the face of it although he looks more like a striker than someone who can or should play wide.
-
No, that would be a miracle.

Back in the day your number 9 was a classic no nonsense centre forward who would lead the line and not faff around with anything except getting on the end of crosses and sticking their elbows into the faces of pug ugly defenders. Generally of the tall variety and Jimmy Hill would often lament England lacking "a big number 9". Nowadays it's probably a semi inverted dwarf that drops deep and creates havoc between the lines. Either that or a chinese takeaway menu item.

Couldn’t really blame O’Riley if he chose Atalanta (I would too) but hope it gets sorted quickly. I’m presuming the bulk of our transfer budget would go on him so the quicker it gets sorted the sooner we can build the team

I guess he doesn't show the usual ex-club bias towards us but who really cares? I was more shocked at what the cast of Eldorado look like now. I couldn't believe my eyes!
-
You're probably supporting the wrong candidate if lying gets you worked up.

Ah crap, hope he makes a full recovery. Imagine he was the playground idol for many of us.
