  1. I thought he added to the attacking options when he came on and I would start with him against Wolves.
  2. Yep- great support last night, was very proud to be a Saints fan. I think we probably made more noise coming out of the stadium than Watford fans did at anytime inside.
  3. "Good post St Pat" Careful- I'm far more used to abuse!! In my incredibly limited posts to date I have been accused of being a Lowe 'plant' and luvvie' because I DARED to say that it wasn't only Lowes fault and I could see two sides to the argument. My two sons, who went today and have been indoctrinated into following the Saints, even though they have never lived in Southampton, were both shocked today. After being a regular at the Dell in the 70's, I doubt it what close to even being 'handbags' but football has moved on.
  4. There was trouble- GET OVER IT! I couldn't go, I was working as usual- 100 miles away. Two of my sons, aged 13 and 20 were there and apparently it was far from pleasant. Saints fans kicked off- and not just teenagers, a whole selection of ages- don't bullmanure people -it does't help. A section of Charlton fans deliberately wound up Saints fans and it turned ugly. It was obviously an incredibly emotional day for all Saints fans, my son was texting me and I was emotional before the game, what it must have been like for long term fans who were there, I can't imagine. I cannot condone any violence but I can understand why emotions were running high and how people could react given provocation. Saints fans have to accept that it happened and not bury their heads in the sand, my 13 year old was truly shocked and worried. BUT- who wouldn't be emotional after the week that Saints fans have had? There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY that a serious potential investor would be put off by what happened off pitch today. It was a one-off that can be easily explained and many Charlton fans are from from innocent in this whole event.

Crouch cannot return, he proved during his tenure that although he had his heart firmly in the right place, his head was in the clouds. We need a knight in shining armour who has had little or nothing to do with the club in the past. Someone that no one has any agenda with and who can look at the club objectively and without personalities clouding the issues. A person we have not had at the helm for a VERY long time. We need a new direction in the boardroom that everyone can get behind and support. If administration gets rid of all the flunkeys and 'sound-bite' directors and shareholders that we have had over the last 15 years the it will be the BEST thing that has happened to the club . We need a new beginning with new owners, however I have a really horrible feeling that we'll somehow get some re-hash of existing shareholders. I have everything crossed that some good will come out of Southampton FC's darkest hour yet knowing our club we will manage to find a way to screw it up.
  6. Before I read what many of you so-called Saints fans on here had written, I thought he was having a pop at everyone, fans, current directors, past directors and managers who have their own agendas in mind far more than those of the club as a whole. I've re-watched the video after reading so much garbage on here and still feel the same. Our club is in turmoil, there is no question about that but the constant complaining and moaning about EVERYTHING that happens by so many people on this board suggests we don't deserve any better. Lowe coming back was always going to dis-unite the club further, he is obviously far too stupid and thick skinned to realise this or even worry about it. However without him in charge I think you could safely say we would already be in administration and probably be performing worse than we are now. However whatever anyone thinks of that supercilious, arrogant, moronic, pathetic individual, we still have a team and a new manager to support. Digging, complaining, whinging etc. about the new manager does no good. THE ONLY way that Saints will pull themselves out of trouble is to get behind the new manager and Team 100%. What Wotte has said is perfectly correct, unfortunately too many people on here are even more stupid than Lowe and his cronies.
