Not'just back' but first opportunity. Ashamed to admit that due to work this was my first game of the season. Firstly thought the fans were great, particularly the group who kept 'Nigel Adkins red and white army' going for so long. Asfor the team, as people have said, Morgan was excellent, a different class to everyone else on the pitch. At the opposite end Forte was very poor. Looked lazy, he might be quick but when he lost the ball, my mother with her walker would have beaten him back to get involved with the game. Thought W-P looked composed but became rather negative as the game progressed. I would have lucked to see Reeves play with a forward who actually moved and created space, he looked ok. I was worried about Cork and Martin together but they were fine, although Cork is rather wasted there. Thought Martin was Saints 2nd best player of the night. Richardson and Fox can both sleep easy, knowing their places arent under any immediate threat! And you can see why De Ridder is only used for 20 minutes.

I expect to see another rotation of the team today. De Ridder, Hammond, Cork and Chaplow with possibly Guly replacing Connolly up front.

Truly fantastic! I keep looking at the league table and can't quite believe it! The best line of the night. - West Ham 0. I admit to being slightly concerned that our record would be under threat with neither Lallana or Cork playing, probably our best two players so far this season. But last night proved that our midfield is stacked! And that Adkins is an excellent manager!

I couldn't support England if he was the coach. However it would be funny how all the skeletons would finally come tumbling out of the cupboard if he was appointed. Six months before he would be ruined

I think the first two are quite winnable. Concerned about Watford, I know we have laid many historical issues to rest recently but we haven't had a good record playing Watford in recent years and they will only be looking for a draw. Derby could well be our 2nd loss of the season. West Ham will come to win and that will help us, winnable in a high scoring game. Last two could both end in draws. That's 12 points, although Watford should really be a win, which would gave a very healthy 14 point return.

Absolutely. Although I can't see any way she can continue as a steward, brother in law or not.

All were very good goals, Schneiderlin's pass was as good as you will ever see but having watched the goals again(and again and again) I am in awe of Connolly's technique of digging that ball out from under his foot to score, it was class and easy to overlook when there were so many good goals.

Good performance by the whole team. Particularly impressed by the structure and composure of the team when faced with some dubious behaviour by Leeds. We looked organised and in control. Everyone is talking about the fitter, leaner Lambert(who undoubtedly is) but I thought Hammond was too and both he and Cork were excellent in the middle. Schneiderlin oozed class when he came on and it is a lovely predicament for Adkins having to choose 2 from those 3. Right-wing is not Guly's best position but he worked hard. I think we still need a quality striker and cb to challenge for a top spot but it would be incredibly harsh to leave anyone out of the team after that performance. Would Shane Long really be happy to be playing 2nd fiddle to both Connolly and Lambert? LOL. In fact he might have trouble getting on the bench! 5 subs is ridiculous in this day and age, opportunities for youngsters at many clubs will simply disappear. A very short-sighted decision by the football league.

Needs a rousing reception, to show the fans still want him. Of course, everyone can boo Mark Chamberlain, if he turns up!!

I think the majority of people would have been happy to have added just 3 players to our existing squad and just got rid of Puncheon. We have Cork, as long as we get a good striker and a CB then I and I think many others will be happy. As Adkins has said 1 or 2 in, and I believe it will be 2, it is likely I will be happy.

Can't help but think that we'll bring in a young very quick striker from abroad for 2.5 - 3 million. We have enough experienced/older strikers and you'll get more talent for 3 million abroad than here. Also expect to see a fairly experienced cb join.

If Jack plays rb, then this discussion doesn't matter much! I favour a 4-2-3-1 line up, I think that gives us the best chance of utilizing the current squad. Adkins is always talking about the whole squad winning games and there will be games where Hammond and Schneiderlin will be more effective than my first choice of Schneiderlin and Cork. I think the 1st game against Leeds may well be one of those.

Current players- Crouch- would score a huge amount of goals in Championship. Shearer from retired players, for the same reason as Crouch but even more! Mark wright would be a great cb addition.

And what a calm, composed interview it was. Excellent from Adkins and I am very happy that he is in control of our team.

I think it's a shame he's gone but at 20 he obviously wants to be playing more games and I'm sure he felt that his opportunities at Saints were going to be limited next season. I think that he's a far better player than many on here and that in another 2-3 years he'll be proving his doubters on here wrong.

BLACKPOOL- Premiership- they really were having a laugh!!!!!! Absolutely delighted they've gone down- can't wait to humiliate them in the Championship next season!

Superb- bit of an emotional wreck- but hey- I don't care. Simply unbelievable. How good will it feel when we're talking like this in 12 months time!!! Edit- I don't think whatever happens it could feel better than this!!!

I'll take a first choice midfield of Hammond, Schneiderlin, Lallana and Chamberlain into the Championship with no hesitation!
