I've never been there, but an acquaintance happened to mention to me that Portsmouth (Ohio) was a sh!t hole. It took a while for me to explain why I suddenly burst out laughing when he told me that!

The New Forest is a key attraction for me and that area. It is surprisingly easy to take for granted, and is a huge loss when you leave it.

I love Portsmouth thanks to this thread. In the past, I had only one club to support, and one club to hate, but without following the hated team's fortunes on a weekly basis. These days, watching Portsmouth fail week by week is kinda like supporting them, isn't it? I honestly feel like I properly have two clubs now.

Oddly enough, I was just thinking about this a few days ago. My wife was half an hour late home due to a snowstorm, so I naturally assumed she was dead and wondered where I would go to live out the rest of my life. Like you, I now have no family in the area that I would visit. My daughter lives in Devon, but so does my ex-wife. I think I would settle in the waterside area again (I'm from eastern Southampton originally) That way, I would be in an area I know and was always happy in, and my daughter would be keen to visit as she loved it there too. As for being provincial? Well, of course it is! it's in the provinces! I like Southampton. I like Exeter too, and might also go there when the ex is dead.

I absolutely have to object to this statement. It is words like this, that condone physical violence against another person, make me feel totally ashamed in the human race. It is comments like these that make me sad when I realise just how hypocritical I am when I feel exactly the same way. Sometimes, there are people that walk this earth (Suarez) who simply don't possess enough legs to break in order to satisfy my hypocritical blood lust.

I would assume that he meant the season is now over, which it pretty much is. It was a great first half to the season, but now we are left with a comparatively dull time. That is all, really.

I try to see all the signs all the time and alter my opinions as new evidence presents itself. Unless you have missed it, a LOT of situations have changed in the last few months while your relatives in your family avatar have just been throwing poo at all the bystanders non-stop and hoping some of it sticks.

There really is nothing to see for the rest of the season in all honesty. We were OK/decent this week, but I had hoped to see something to inspire me. It's clear that this is not going to happen while the players are in the position of having nothing left to fire them up, and that is understandable. I will now be waiting for the summer developments, and I honestly don't know where I stand about whether MP goes or stays.....Whatever people think about Gaston, I see a spark in his eye for the team and the possibilities. I don't really see anything properly readable in MP. That's really not a good sign I suppose.
