  1. Bas Dost...? http://www.espnfc.com/story/2903061/wolfsburg-striker-bas-dost-eyes-move-to-nice-club-southampton
  2. Not sure why we have to spend more than what we get in. If we reinvest player sales into decent players like we did last season then there's no issue is there? We don't HAVE to spend money for no reason just to ensure we spend more than we get in. That would be silly.
  3. Ozan Tufan - http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/everton-southampton-eyeing-fenerbahce-midfielder-ozan-tufan-4135644
  4. I know, life is too tough as a saints supporter as it's all going wrong.
  5. Fair enough, we won't know exactly but I suspect we will spend a fair bit over £30m, we would have to go buy reports in the press, ie Redmond for £11m.
  6. The same money plus an extra season. Not bad business.
  7. I bet we will spend over £30m before the transfer window shuts. Over £40m including the Redmond purchase.
  8. I wish there was a playground bully willing to give me £20 for my £5 lunch.
  9. Yep. I'm pretty excited about the coming season aren't you? New manager, new players coming in and European football. Great time to be a saints fan.
  10. Really? Bought for 10m, had a couple of great seasons out of him and sold for 32m? Do you mean Liverpool have been mugged?
  11. 32 million? Wow. Ok, selling your best players isn't a great thing to do but everyone has a price. If we can reinvest the money wisely it's a bargain. No doubt people will whinge about it and also selling Vic, and Redmond isn't good good enough and Who is Puel? That's much more fun than looking forward to the future and supporting your team.

    Euro 2016

Belgium have some quality players. Hazard stepped up tonight. Funnt how they destroyed Hungary after Lukaku went off. Can see a Belgium Germany final and it will be some final.
  13. I'm afraid just because you are not knowledgeable he's Not a poor appointment. That goes for a lot of people on this forum. No doubt hindsight will be cried later when he does well.
  14. Excellent appointment
  15. We're an attractive proposition and any decent manager would want to manage us but we are making sure we appoint the right person. I'm happy for it to take as long as it takes to interview all the candidates and get the right person I'm. There's no immediate rush at the moment.
  16. I think he seems pretty decent. Like you I was in the Pellegrini camp but. Puel looks like a decent appointment.
  17. Puel massively odds on. Why don't people like him? Seems to have the pedigree we need in Europe etc.
  18. Merry Pellegrini.
  19. Jeremy Wilson knows inside info. reckon it is Puel.
  20. Well no, but I do want some experience and enthusiasm. I really don't know who that would be though.
  21. Exactly. I read similar. He wasn't given time at man u to implement his long term plan as they need immediate results, but I think in the long term he may have been a success. Never given the time sir Alex was afforded.
  22. Really? I want a manager who has experience in a big team and progessive in Europe as that is what we are now, if he's managed in spain, France or England doesn't matter.
  23. Steve Bruce is pretty average I'll give you that but I reckon moyes isn't an average manager, he's very hard working and knows his stuff, I reckon if we got him we would be comfortably top 7 most seasons, might not be exciting to watch at times but he's a decent manager. Not that I want him but that's my opinion.
