SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction

3 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats. Some disappointing games, for sure, but think you are exaggerating a bit there mate. -
SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction

Way to static up front in the first half. Got better in the second, but we didn't take our chances. Fonte just doesn't cut the mustard in the premiership. To lightweight. -
It would be very interesting to know the statutes of the Liebherr trust.
-
If it's so easy, what went wrong for QPR and Blackburn among others this season? IMO it would be a huge gamble to get rid of Cortese who has set us up very well the last 4 years.
-
Feel the press has been quite on target on this one. They have only stated that Cortese might leave, and that seems to be a fact.
-
Shows that also the players are behind Cortese in the power struggle with the Liebherr trust. What a mess this is.
-
Same here. But I don't like this turbulence.
-
Don't think it's very likely that the club will be bought by anyone at this stage. But I agree that this is a strategic maneuver from Cortese to force the Lieberrs to give him what he want.
-
You could hope, but rumors has it they don't know anything about football. Wouldn't it be typical if they hired Souness or some other **** to do the job?
-
Before my time. Started supporting Saints in 97.
-
What I meant to express was that I don't think mangers take jobs because they have personal feelings for the club, and fans shouldn't expect them to stay because of it either. It's a professional relationship and thats that.
-
I think most sensible managers goes to clubs where the chairman has an ambition and plan for how the club can grow in the future. Good players goes hand in hand with that. We haven't had one manager in my lifetime who has come here because Saints "meant something to him".
-
There is nothing like club loyalty. Players wants success and ambitions. Cortese is a major factor for keeping our best players.
-
Name one manager in the world that would come here only because managing us would mean anything to him.
-
Some players will probably want to leave as well. Everyone who has signed long term contracts has spoken about Corteses ambitions for the future as a main reason for their motivation to stay. Some people on here really seem to underestimate his influence and importance to this club, not to mention his popularity with the staff and players.
-
Did you really expect anything else?
-
Rarely laugh at these, but this was quality!
-
Among other things, it probably means: - that all plans regarding transfers are off, - that we in a short space of time need to get someone in that knows how to run a football club, - that our pre season will be a mess - that the manager have to make new plans with a new chairman,
-
Would be nothing but a disaster if he leaves.
-
Pochettino will need 2-3 transfer windows before anyone is able to compare him with Adkins.
-
This. Some people on here really needs to get a grip. To be more or less safe now after the start we had is nothing else than a massive achievement.
-
Will be pleased with a point today. Thin we need to make stuff difficult for them from the start. Not let them gain any confidence.
-
If we end up selling them at a loss without them having performed well over a period of time, I will admit they were poor signings. For now, I will only recognize that they haven't lived up to expectations this season.

Did he ever play an official match for us?
