I don't know what some of you are on but you sure are miserable feckers. We were not going to play like Brazil with how low our confidence is but we were comfortably the better side and shold have won by more than 1 goal but for yet more woeful finishing (especially from Azaz and Fellows). Jack made a real difference at the back with his leadership and tonight they actually fought for the shirt (which shod be a given but hasn't been). We were still too weak in midfield and Downes gave the ball away in dangerous areas that opened up a ton of space in the middle for SHeffield. A win and a clean sheet. Gives Saints some confidence going into the derby game.

Yeah right....of course they would. WHo is this mythical manager that would get more out of this squad then that the last 5 managers have not?
-
Everyone seems to think that TOnda is the problem - I dont believe he is. These arsewipes of players played well for 6 or 7 games then reverted back to their pathetic Martin-ball style after he got the gig. At some stage people have to realize that it is a core of players that appear to be the problem and, until these bad eggs are out of the club (whoever they are). nothing is going to change irespective of who the manager is. Tonda, Still, Juric, Rusk, Selles, Hassenhuttl (at the end) all had the same issues. The fact that Tonda trusts the younger players like Bragg, Williams and others makes me hope he will be the right guy for the reset at the end of the season. Let's face it, anyone who wants us to go up this year is bonkers. It would only paper over the cracks and next season would be even more horrific than last season.

Watching the game today I was screaming at the TV. Watching Downes receive the ball and automatically pass it backwards wihtout looking forwards drove me absolutely nuts and consistently killed off any breaks forward. I hope he doesn't play for Saints again this season (or ever) and I'd lay money the likes of him and Manning (based on more reason than they were Martin buddies) are part of the issues behind the scenes. We need an absolute clear out at the end of this season. How on earth have we ended up with so much dross and so many mentally weak players?
-
Amen to this - he was a Saint through and through and it's clear he's got an eye for goal. I couldn't believe he was sold without being given a chance whereas that donkey DOwns was signed and looks like he's never played the game before. Look at how well it's worked out not binning off Cam Bragg (who you could argue has been our best midfielder this season) who also struggled on loan at L1 last season.
-
Perhaps he was giving the players the hair dryer treatment? I've said it many times - it doesn't matter who the manager is: these payers are absolute wankers and not fit to wear the shirt. I'd bin Manning, Downes, Wood and Azaz and would happily never see them play for us again. Gutless, pathetic and scared of their own shadows. What on earth happened to the scintillating, attacking football we forst saw under Eckert? I don't think for one moment he's told them revert back to Russell ball.
-
BY the week, looking more and mroe of a ridculous decision by the wankers in charge of our club. Utterly clueless.
-
They huffed and puffed 2nd half but still looked absolutely awful. Dire football team, incredibly poorly managed and owned. I bet SPors doesn't give any more interviews this season and will go back in hiding.
-
Utterly scandalous decision to sell him without giving him a chance this season. The lad has always scored goals - and to replace him with Downs was criminal.
-
Quarshie off - why? He's been OK and Wood has been absolute shit. Why not bring on STewart? Have some presence up ftont rather than the anonymous ARmstrong and Azaz
-
I see Dom Ballard scored yet again. What a great decision that was to sell him and buy Downs. I'd rather see the U21s play in the first eleven than this shower of shit. They are an utter disgrace to the shirt and I hopre there is a massive clear out in the summer (starting with Sport Rpeublic). Shameful, shameful display and we have to go 4 at the back and attack at pace.
-
Wow - Peretz looks absolute shite
-
I would argue he's far better than Azaz who has been incredibly disappointing bar a 5 or 6 game purple patch
-
Do you not think that we perhaps played 3 at the back to make up for Bazunu not commanding his area? Tonda would obviously never throw Bazunu under the bus but that would be my guess. ALthough it is lower league opposition having more in midfield helps us. Bragg has been sensational and should be first name on the midfield teamsheet. Be interesting to see of Romeu or WIlliams get some minutes in midfield if we're still cruising 2nd half.
-
No manager - and I mean no manager - would get a note out of these useless, cowardly bastards. To call them pathetic would an in insult to the term pathetic. We have the most mediocre squad that I can remember going back to the Lawrie Mac days with no leaders, no heart and no desire. I would be quite happy to never see Bazunu, Wood, Manning, Downes, Archer, Fraser, Aribo, Edozie in a Saints shirt again. Azaz, Armstrong and Fellows have completely turned to shit again and Scienza looks a shadow of his previous self. Massive job to turn around this sinking ship and I hope Tonda can - but I doubt even Guardiola could.
-
So pleased for the lad - one of our own and starting to look like a real player. He had a really tough year last season with a failed loan at Crawley but looks like he could be a real asset for Saints and still only 20. By far and away our best player today - always looking to move the ball forward quickly, always calling for the ball and playing some lovely through balls. Really enjoy watching him play and you can see how much it means to the lad to be playing for Saints. In many ways our 2 Academy players (Bragg and Robinson) are our most forward thinking players at the moment. I just hope the more senior players timidity does not rub off on them.

I gave this place a wide berth for a while.....but it's still inhabited by absolute bell ends in a simpleton's echo chamber. While there is plenty of room for improvement Saints were not that bad against Brum. Unfortunately Azaz and Fellows have resorted to being shit again and we still can't defend. Bar some players this is a medicore squad (way weaker than when we went down last time) - I thought Leo was absolutely terrible today when he came on but no chance he can be criticized on here when there are may forum scapegoats to blame. No doubt Bazunu should have saved the first and the great save he made was a regaulation save any 'proper' keeper would be making evey single time. Thank god the people who actually go to the games are not made of the same stuff as many of the posters on here

Plus you have the usual suspects saying: QPR: we were lucky and they're shit (despite still being above us in the table Charlton will be a big test: only to turn round and say Charlton are shit and don;t count because they're rubbish Birmingham will be a big test: only to turn round and say Birmingham were shit and don't count And rinse and repeat for any team we face. Until we beat Real Madrid 7-0 on a regular basis I think many on here will say 'we'll against better teams' without realizing that the eay we've been playing has made other teams look very ordinary. Why not just enjoy the ride? Playing sumptuos football, scoring a ton of goals and suddenly winning most games after a long period of time winning almost none. These are exciting times to be a Saints fan - enjoy it while you can!

Live for the moment - you can't worry about what may or may not happen in the future

What complete and utter bollocks. Take a look at teh saves he made.
-
What an utter bunch of melts on here these days. We won and Bazunu made some excellent saves. I'm certain Tonda will learn from this but he is also trying to keep players fresh playng 3 games a week at the moment. Terrible, complacent second half and we have to be able to shut down the crosses coming in and standing off players. But 6 wins from 7 is dreamland from where we were.
-
Like who? Whose this mythical experienced manager who would have us winning every game and keeping clean sheets every game. Yes we were terrible second half: unfortunately(?) we go 3 0 u[ and take the foot off the gas completely and become almost complacent. However, being 3 0 up and winning and seeing 4 back to back wins at home and scoring for fun. I'd take that any day of the week unlike many of you miserable keywboard warriors.
-
From the moment he took the interim, it felt like he had something about him that was promising. Since then, he has only gotten better and better: with his attention to detail, planning and general demeanor. I think we have found an absolute diamond. In a few short weeks he has got people buzzing again: it was only 6 or 7 games ago people were talking about how we had won 2 home games in a year, now we have 3 back to back.
-
WHat an absolute bloody wally. No keeper is saving that Gray effort. Bazunu played very well today.
-
Weren't Birmingham terrible? If we'd played a decent side we'd have lost. Tonda doesn't know what he's doing and we should have a proper manager in place.
