  1. You may not have noticed, but the people going after JWP pre dates well before this season. They were just waiting for a moment to get more vocal as soon as he dropped form
  2. There are some really odd fans. They absolutely slam JWP despite the fact he's a huge reason we are even in the EPL this season, yet defend players like Moi, or our manager when he's playing hoofball. Odd bunch.
  3. Feel a bit for Djenepo. The guy gives it everything he's got. Apart from JWP, there can't be many more players in our team that work as hard. Sure, he's not very good. But neither are our other number 10s. So at least give it to the guy who is gonna leave it all out there. Instead he gets crumbs, gets asked to play positions like left wing back which I doubt he ever thought he would play in his career, and then gets dropped for fucking moi
  4. I've said it on other match threads. And fucking hell I wish it wasn't happening again. But what has Moi ever done to become a starter at this club?! He's first name on the teamsheet for league matches! He was considered not good enough, was shoved out on loan. And then with no improvement, hes become a starter!
  5. You cruel heartless man. Don't take away his only toy!
  6. Oh come on. That's just been silly now. I can think of some of our results against City for starters where Ralph showed great game management, let alone others.
  7. Time to fire up the insurance bet...
  8. You just gotta love Djenepo. We all know he isn't the best. But every time he puts on that kit he gives it everything he has!
  9. Elyounnoussi represents everything with our decline. He was considered not good enough and was hauled off on loan. A bad signing, we move on. Except he didn't. He has somehow become 'first name on the teamsheet' despite mediocre to poor performances. He's just as crap as when we shoved him out on loan.
  10. The issue we've now got is far too many key personnel learning on the job. We have a goalkeeper who has never played above league one level, we have a bunch of youngsters early on in this careers, and we have a manager who has never managed this level before. And it's not like Jones built a reputation for modern football and tactics at Luton like say Frank or Rodgers. He looks exactly what you would expect- capable of doing the odd hairdryer treatment, but tactically out of his depth. Which we could get away with maybe if we didn't have a side so desperate for guidance.
  11. At this point it would be kinder for Bazanu if he was taken out of the team. He shouldn't even be in this position. No team should have been stupid enough to spend that much money on him and stick him straight into an EPL side. He's not good enough, but that isn't his fault. The club decided to go too cute. We should have signed an experienced keeper from Europe to guide our young team.
  12. Not a fan of Croatia. But got to like those penalties. They focused on striking the ball cleanly, doesn't matter if the keeper goes the right way if a professional footballer strikes the ball with force. Once again the flamboyant run ups are the misses. Also Neymar is an utter coward.
  13. Nice of us to give Argentina a 2 goal lead, but now time to get a wriggle on lads
  14. Alot of that is driven by nostalgia, there were plenty of boring pundits in the past. Ask any football fan of any age and they will always say something similar about it being better in the past, as with time you generally forget the shitty boring ones and just remember the good ones. I am so glad not to hear Lawro droning on with the laziest of opinions. I imagine young people right now will probably fondly remember the likes of Micah, Scott, Keane, Neville, McCoist, and forget the likes of Zabaletta and Shearer (who has been so boring for close to two decades now). Also Martin Tyler who is fortunately not at the World Cup, must be the worst commentator going.
  15. I would love to see the conversion stats for stuttered runs up when taking a penalty. It seems whenever I am watching a shoot out or a missed penalty, the miss the majority of the time is with some dumb run up. Of course, you still get the odd burly centre back who runs up and just whacks it into the carpark.
  16. Unbelievable! Some have argued that this was the weakest squad on paper we have ever sent to a World Cup, yet sheer guts and determination got us over the line. Not to say the Tunisians didn't either, got to feel for them a little bit, they gave everything in every game. We just had that little bit more luck. 2 wins from 3, and even though we were eventually well beaten, we did lead france as well. I reckon we can push Argentina if that's who we play. Their quality will probably get them there, but I reckon we can take the game pretty deep and give them some worries.
  17. Then why do you keep bringing it up?
  18. I just don't know who you think you are arguing with? If you look at most people who are pro the queer community and/or on the left. We never thought that wearing an armband or a logo on a shirt was enough. In fact it was incredibly disappointing that no player, team or even sponsor made any real or meaningful stand. That's without taking in the corruption, bribery and wage theft and working conditions for migrant workers. It would have only taken a one or two team big names/teams to make a stand to set the dominoes rolling I reckon. This is not a country where LGBT is just frowned upon, in which case it would be so hypocritical for the west to come in pontificating. But a country where you are literally physically beaten which is against fundamental human rights. Even though we thought that that an armband was pathetic, we can still be disappointed that the feeble attempt was abandoned at the first sign of repercussions. I would rather them have done absolutely nothing than to make such a weak attempt at it. Instead all it did was expose the self interest of those involved and if anything, works against LGBT inclusivity which is why I would prefer nothing. But you will also find that the person you seem to be arguing is only a tiny slither of people. The amount of people that thought wearing an armband was great and sufficient will pretty much mostly belong to corporate suits, like the sponsors and some media outlets. You are more likely to be arguing against an accountant who lives in Twickenham who votes Lib Dems than you are anyone else. So again who do you think you are arguing against or proving a point?
  19. Well that was fun whilst it lasted. Can't fault our effort. One of the most limited sides we have sent to WC but we are giving it a go.
  20. Probably cos no one can be bothered anymore going through the tedious and futile exercise of engaging with you.
  21. And yet you are the one who continues to post constantly about it? 🤷‍♂️
  22. Wales have been utterly garbage. If it was a non European or South American side playing like this, people would be laying into them.
  23. I think that's a little bit of an overflated opinion of the European qualifiers. Whilst qualifying, England won by 3 or more against every single team in their group except for Poland who qualified for the WC anyway.
  24. No it's not the truth. It's an opinion, and a bizarre contempt for him.
  25. Even if JWP isn't in the team, what has Gallagher actually done to get called up? He had a good few months at Palace beginning of last season, then his form fell off, and he's been a bit part player for Chelsea without doing all that much. Eze should be ahead
