Look through the first few pages of the JWP leaving thread to see how we treat people who care. Compare that to the likes of the Lavia thread who didn't bother to turn up for a single minute this season.

Good idea in theory, but in practice less so. There just isn't this great pool of referees for them to dive into. After decades of referee abuse at grassroot level, we are feeling the results of it. Wenger, Sir Alex, Klopp, Pep, Mourinho etc have all abused their positions at refs, as well as footballers themselves, and that behviour has been replicated at grassroots. Unfortunately this is the best group of refs in this country and they are not up to standard. Getting even worse refs to man the var stations will likely end up with even more inconstancy. Clubs like Liverpool need to stop berating and actually start working on the solution. There's no corruption, there's just incompetence, and that's gonna take years to sort out.

Aren't goalkeepers initially often unsighted? At least for most shots from outside the box, as there is usually at least one defender rushing out to get a block in. I reckon if you freeze alot of shot from outside the box, more often then not there will be someone in the way. That's why reflexes, positioning etc are so important, so that they can react better and late. I'm no goalkeeping expert though. But I do know we let in alot of goals from long range shots. I don't think i can ever remember a goalkeeper where we have been this desperate to find excuses for. I wonder how many Championship sides would be happy to trade keepers. (note I do think he has been a bit better last couple of games. But he's comfortably below a number of keepers in this league still)

No of course not. Win games and the fans get behind you. But if you aren't winning games, you need something else to cling onto. A track of record of success will help that. If you are losing matches and have no notable record, then of course you are going to be given less time. When we go cute with our appointments, we go wrong. When we bring in the obvious candidates, then things more often go better. Managers like Koeman, Ralph, Pardew, Adkins all had very strong pedigree and guess what, they were all bloody good. Nothing to do with the fans. If you check our appointment record since league 1, I reckon we've seen the worrying signs or positive signs pretty quickly. Pardew- looked good was good Adkins- looked good and was fantastic Poch - looked worrying and was good (which shows how fans can get behind you quickly if you deliver results and performances) Koeman- looked good and was good Puel- looked okay and was okay (still contested I know so I've gone down the middle) Pellegrino-looked a disaster and was a disaster Hughs- looked shit and was shit. Swansea imploding contributed more to us staying up Ralph- looked good and was good Jones- jesus christ. Looked shit and was shit Selles- Shit all round Martin- looked underwhelming. I guess some would argue that the ones that have had fans support straight away have been most successful. But I more feel that the fans can smell a dud fast. I would just prefer the club stopped trying to unearth some magic unknown manager. If you wanna unearth young footballers and sell them for profit, then don't get too cute with the manager. They need a manager with a good track record to look up to.

Because his ego won't allow him to manage in this division unless he was offered a truly whopping amount of cash. I've very certain he would rather not manage again then take on a championship job (unless yep cash is right)

Oh fair point, I forgot about the West Ham stint. Still, 1 season of the 20 odd. He's simply not gonna suddenly jump at a club 15th in the Championship
-
He was absolutely honking for his two seasons in the EPL. Based on that, we have somehow elevated him to Jermaine Wright status of undroppable. We would probably play his at right back before he gets dropped. Why the club does shit like this I will never know. We did the same with Elyounoussi, we are doing the same with Smallbone. Players that become utterly undroppable despite consistently poor performances. In the first 20 minutes, I think 3 attacks broke down as soon as he got on the ball. Awful first touch, no notable pace or strength either. I would argue he was better in the second half cos at least he didn't touch the fucking ball! I know he scored yesterday, and I know his stats show 5 goals and an assist already this season. But 2 of those were pens, and 1 he had no idea about. He breaks down more attacks then he contributes to

Mate, it's been about two decades since he last managed in this division!

Gracia is and possibly realistic after getting sacked at Leeds. Felt both of his English football sackings were harsh and has had succesful moments

Gonna start scraping at that barrel for positives. KWP gave it everything, but the set up doesn't bring the best out of him. Not quite fully up supporting the attacks, and often having to sprint back to the vacant gap behind him. But still our best player imo. Charles looked okay first half. Bednarek was generally fine. Stu tried to inject something into us when he came on, as did Edozie. Holgate will probably never play for us again. An abysmal debut and now hooked at half time, how do you recover from that? Fraser I can't remember him doing anything positive in all his matches for us so far, but seems a guaranteed starter for whatever reason our hopeless manager has decided. Smallbone started better today but then totally lost. AA got a goal but was otherwise awful. Aribo was on for ten minutes too long. Manning is just not very good. Downes dear of dear was he bad. I know we've all said it, but without RM having any notable track record, there isn't much hope to hold onto things improving under him. From the moment we scored, we looked awful and a boro win looked most likely. He didn't do anything about it until it was far too late. When it was 1-1 they were pushing hard. That was the time to inject a bit of counter attack pace with Sulemana and Edozie. Instead he waited till we went a goal down. Those players will find it so much harder against a deeper defence. In most of the matches recently, we've been scratching our heads at the initial selections, and his in game management is just as dreadful
-
In amongst the wreckage I feel KWP has given it absolutely everything in this game
-
Ah Aribo, he will inject some pace and effort into this...
-
Jones should be off
-
Should be 3-1. Awful awful awful
-
It's not like the City academy has brought through loads of world class talent either. Only really Foden for now. Some promising like Palmer and Lavia, but that's about it. We would be way better off taking them from Chelsea if we had to go down that route
-
Issue RM has is that most of his favourites are on the pitch, so hard to make a sub.
-
stupid stupid penalty to give away. Absolute clear cut unfortunately
-
KWP is just so so good.
-
Game very open, feel like Sulemana can really exploit this
-
Might be the last we see of Holgate. Wasn't really putting much effort into it either So often was just lazily jogging back. Unsurprising he got caught out
-
That's actually a really good shout. Doing the same.
-
Dean Hammond is so painful on comms. I get he wants to talk up the club, but it is bordering on delusional.
-
Boro just about deserved that. We've been playing for a 1-0 win ever since we took the lead. No real attempt to try and kill it
-
Oh Holgate you utter twat. Dallied and robbed of the ball. 1-1.
-
Woooo good football! 1-0. Slick movement. Good finish from AA
