  1. Bompey's squad is even more limited than ours, yet they are 8th?
  2. I'm sure being a multi millionaire will ease the experience somewhat though?
  3. err of course it is our fault. Or am I missing something? Clearly needed a striker all of last season, had all summer to get one and didn't. What's this final day rubbish? It should never have got to the final day!
  4. Good shout, but don't think Villa would do it. Why would they want to strengthen a fellow relegation contender?
  5. I don't get why there has to be a polarisation of sides? Surely people saying he has to go have a very strong case? I have thought he needs to go for a year now based purely on what I see. Doesn't mean I'd be saying told you so or I'd be glad about it. It's sad - he's a good guy but things are not going to improve and I do believe you're deluded if you think that's the case. He has had more than a fair crack of the whip and I honestly can't understand why he is still in the job.
  6. Needs a few more L's in it before you can say that. I'm sure Ralph will oblige
  7. Why is this clown still here? Should have been sacked after the final whistle yesterday. Tried to give him benefit of the doubt but anyone thinking he will turn this around is deluded. He has been given too much time already. Get rid of him now please.
  8. Also, yes Fergie did fall out with players. Roy Keane apparently hates him (I think he pretty much hates everyone). But the vast bulk of players love him to this day. As you say, if Ralph was right more often right than wrong, nobody would care if he is stubborn. If it's true that Ralph wouldn't speak directly to players and form relationships with them, then to me he isn't doing one of the basics of the job he's being paid for.
  9. Agreed - he should look to himself, as we all should, to examine his own failings and shortcomings. Only then can he improve. However, football teams have managers for a reason. One of those reasons is to be a leader. A person who can form relationships with his players, understand them and get the best out of each and every one. Fergie was pretty much a master of this. It's called man management. Ralph appears not to have this in his skillset. Compare this to Poch and how he managed our players.
  10. I wonder what results you would get if you polled our poor travelling fans? The guy has to go. I don't get how people think he is going to turn things around to be honest. However, I would not pull the trigger on him until a suitable replacement is found. I would think SR are on the case.
  11. Che is an average to below average Prem striker. He's doing exactly as well as anyone could expect. Hence why it was a big fail for Sports Republic not to get in an above average striker for the season. Can't blame Che. He is what he is.
  12. That's the most sensible thing you have written on here 🙂
  13. So what exactly is your point? That the team will never truly be Ralph's because it's not like times of old when the manager really was the person who made transfer decisions? And because of that he isn't to blame for our insipid performances and string of unwanted records? I guess if we were top 6, he wouldn't be able to claim any credit for that either then? Personally, I have been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt this season but he is not improving. The Villa game was so poor I turned it off the TV. Clueless.
  14. I just don't get it. We have had a few weeks rest to prepare. Villa are far from a good side yet we play like shite. Summary - villa look shite and we look double shite. Disappointing.
  15. Not a royalist.. Having said that I am gutted. The Queen was a stable point in our lives and somebody to be proud of. God bless and God Speed and thank you M'am from a working class boy from Eastleigh. You did us proud for sure
  16. Just watching BT Sport the big interview, they have Moi on. What an intelligent guy - very impressed with him.
  17. He could have stretched to a full page spread in the Echo surely 🙂 Joking aside, all the very best Oriol, a great player, a role model and a gent. So much respect for you as a footballer and as a very decent human being. Will never forget the semi final at Anfield, he was a beast that night.
  18. Forest have been shit (understandably with 20 new players) but if Haarland and Alvarez score goals for fun like that, I can't see how any other side is gonna live with them
  19. The rate Lavia is going, City will be back in for the buy back before we know it
  20. Ralph On Romeo Lavia: "The negative thing is he is maybe injured now for a few weeks, so not perfect."
  21. Well my clever ploy worked there. I'll try another one - if only Che was a more prolific striker
  22. just wish he had a better end product
  23. I wanted him gone and was very critical of him. There comes a point though where you see he is going to be backed so then I made a decision to be supportive. Not that it matters to Ralph or anyone else of course. So far he has a draw and a win and has a team selection that is looking better than it has for a long time. Kind of reminds me of Italia 90 when Bobby Robson was forced by circumstance to pick the formation and team everyone knew he should have been picking from the start. Ralph is a long way from being out of the woods, but let's hope he can turn the ship round and we all get an enjoyable season.
  24. Has he actually been banned then? That would be funny
