They ain't giving you anything special there. All they are saying is that a treble on the 3 lowest priced draws will pay at least 33/1. ie - say the shortest priced draws are all 9/4 and you put a quid on. 1.00 @ 9/4 = 3.25 3.25 @ 9/4 = 10.5625 10.5625 @ 9/4 = 34.328125 which is your 33/1 (just over actually) You could do a dog, a horse & a draw. If they are all 9/4 you will be getting 33/1 on your money. Don't be suckered in by the odds they flash up. There ain't nothing fancy about em. It's just the price that an accum pays. You don't have to do 10 homes, 3 draws, 5 aways etc to get these big prices. As for the original post. Just take the postponed game off of you accum and re-calculate it. As somebody said if a 4/5 shot is dropped then yeah you will go from 450 to 250. 250 quid on a 4/5 shot pays 450. There is no funny business going on - it's just you've lost a 4/5 shot from your bets. Think yourself lucky - that 4/5 shot could well have let you down and you'd be picking up zilch!!! Accumulator odds are just simple maths. If you find it confusing then just think of this. 10 even money's (1/1 odds) pays 1023/1. Turn a quid into a grand by just picking 10 favourites. Easy money. Or not as the case may be... 1/ 1.00 @ 1/1 = 2 2/ 2 @ 1/1 = 4 3/ 4 @ 1/1 = 8 4/ 8 @ 1/1 = 16 5/ 16 @ 1/1 = 32 6/ 32 @ 1/1 = 64 7/ 64 @ 1/1 = 128 8/ 128 @ 1/1 = 256 9/ 256 @ 1/1 = 512 10/ 512 @ 1/1 = 1024 My worst one. A quid 10 team accum. Quite a few were over even money and it paid just over 16 grand. One of them was Grimsby v Bmouth to be a draw. It was - until the last min when Paul Groves scored the winner for Grimsby. The rest came in so he cost me 16 grand and therefore is one of my most hated players/managers ever (along with Sammy Lee of course). This git even became caretaker manager at Pompey recently. No getting away from the ******!!! Good luck everyone :-)

I wouldn't worry about it too much Mark. Most of the people with 1000's of posts are only on here to encourage us 'Registered Users' to fork out a fiver to be able to obtain an 'ignore list'! 3 posts a day? No probs with that. An ignore list would be really handy though - especially for the post-match threads where over 50% of the comments are from the same ol' people saying the same ol' stuff. Even 'back from game' threads are always hijacked by people who so obviously are more like 'back from the kitchen'. It's a shame but ho hum - what will be will be... Anyway - watching from afar the vibe I get from people who actually travel around the country to games is that this is one of their favourite seasons ever. I know secretly a lot would quite like us to stay in this league for next season. Assuming we keep our current owner, squad and manager then (I think) it would be a cracker. Top of the league with full houses at home and away games selling out all over the country. Assuming it did all work out well we'd head into the Championship a lot stronger than if we manage to somehow scrape into it this season. Good times ahead indead. Can't wait to see Saints back up in the Prem in the not too-distant future. Bring it on!

Funny rant - and yep, I can relate to that ('cept the 70° part of the video). I'd have thought LA would be a bit different from good ol' Midwest Indiana but apparently not. Here we don't have weather forecasters - we have STORM TEAM 10. Man - do they love it when there is bad weather due. The thing that does my head in most is that when it's way below freezing they will inform us that if we go outside we will need a coat. No f**** sh****. There's polar bears on the corner huddled together to try and keep warm and they tell me that I'll need a coat.... Plus it's always 'here's YOUR temperatures' and 'you'll need THE coat' (instead of the other way round). They ain't my f**** temps - they are just THE temps. No need to talk to me like I'm a cu***!!!! This is the video of our local one: http://www.wthitv.com/dpp/weather/forecast/Forecast Depending on when you watch it you'll either get the old drunk guy, the younger really intense patronizing guy, the fit bird with a stutter or another fit bird who looks a bit like bugs bunny. Even though I may appear to be slagging it off I still watch it most nights. It is funny (as is the local news as a whole).....

She's on South Today??? What happened to Georgie Palmer?

Burnley 1/3 to win??? More like 5/4. Is it certain? Obviously not at that price. Is it worth a few quid? I reckon it might be and I quite fancy this little treble: Saints to beat Wycombe Saints to beat Walsall Burnley to beat P***** Pays just over 6/1. Worth a tenner of anyone's money. Now I've said it I guess I best put my money where my mouth is. Think I'll make it a score though - a nice 100+ quid profit is coming my way! Easy money :-)

No beer? You serious? 7.30am here (Eastern Time) and the fridge will be full. I think it would be physically impossible to watch a Saints v Pompey game on TV and not cane a few (whatever time of day it is!). If Saints win you have the rest of the day to carry on drinking. If they lose you can go back to bed.

Billy - hope you managed to get to DC ok. With the record breaking snow I daresay it wasn't easy. Good luck to all you east-coasters who have to get to a bar on Saturday to see the game. We've had it pretty bad here in the mid-west but nowhere near as bad as you lot have had it. 3 feet of snow - you are welcome to that. -
At least 3-1 to Saints. Praps 3-0 or 4-1. An early goal for Saints. The crowd will be right up for it. They are so low on confidence that they will be there for the taking. As long as we don't sit back we can annihilate them. The odds tell you the story. You can get 13/8 on a team playing a team 2 leagues below them. Surely everyone in the land would lump on them at that price? Best you can get on poor lowly Saints is 2/1 (most bookies are lower than this at around 7/4 - one even has it as 6/4 both of us!). The 'Saints 6 day treble' has parts 1 & 2 safely complete (Superbowl & Wembley). No reason whatsoever for part 3 to fail. For those going - sing a song for me!

Of course I meant Thurs 25 (not 24) March. I do now get the Swindon & Hartlepool home games but yep - 'dipsh*t planning' this one!!!! Still - thinking about it - I ain't too bothered. After all tickets will be 60 quid, there will be engineering works & replacement buses on the trains, it's gonna p*ss down with rain (and snow), the trains will be dry & all the pubs will be shut & they won't be selling beer in the ground, Carlisle will win 3-0, I'd end up sat in front of some div who'd never been to a game before and thinks he is at the cinema, I'd lose my wallet and end up arrested. Quite glad I'm flying back to the USA 4 days before :-)

If New Orleans had lost then how many people would have turned up at the airport to welcome them home? 2, 4, 7, 9 thousand? The Colts had 11. Their support is diehard: http://www.indystar.com/article/20100209/SPORTS03/2090352 Judging by the picture in the article I think they got this estimate a bit wrong. Plus I dunno why but I couldn't imagine the Colts head coach driving along one-handed waving the trophy out of the sunroof! He said he took the trophy to bed with him the night before ala Peter Osgood 1976. Top man.

Well that was all a bit refrained George. Give it a couple of days and I expect to see BIG stuff hammering my screen!!! What does anyone think about next seasons odds? 9/1 Colts 10/1 Saints 11/1 Chargers 12/1 Patriots 14/1 Cowboys, Vikings, Steelers 18/1 Packers 20/1 Eagles 22/1 Jets 23/1 Ravens 28/1 Giants 33/1 Falcons, Bengals, Titans 40/1 Cardinals, Texans, Dolphins 50/1 BRONCOS, 49ers 66/1 Panthers, Bears, Jaguars, Redskins 80/1 Seahawks 150/1 Bills, Browns 200/1 Lions, Chiefs, Raiders, Buccaneers 250/1 Rams The one thing to note here is how open it is. A lot of teams are seen as having a chance. It's not like 1/2 Chelsea, 5/4 Man Utd 4/1 Arsenal & Lpool - 100/1 the rest. I think the 9/1 Colts & 10/1 Saints look pretty good bets. They were by far the best 2 teams this season and I doubt much will change before the start of the next one. Saints will obviously now believe in themselves & I'm sure they will be going out on a limb to prove this season was no fluke. Broncos are rumoured to be looking at McNabb: http://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=20225 Get him and keep Marshall & Doom & Dawkins etc and then the 50/1 above could have some value. Anyway - that is it until September. Ya all have a good close-season ya hear.

WHO DAT! First part of the Saints treble in place. *** Saints win the Superbowl (never ever been there before - let alone win it. Underdogs & came from 10 points down to win it - only one team ever had done this before in the SB). A great Saints victory. *** Saints to get to Wembley *** Saints to beat Pompey. As the thread said 'SAINTS FANS EVERYWHERE'. Not too many people in Pompey were cheering on New Orleans! Saints v Pompey is now confirmed to be on USA TV. Saints win the Superbowl. Sunday night has never felt so good. WHO DAT!!!!
-
$160 in the pocket and a chance for George to shout WHO DAT!!!!!! Nice one mate - when you've calmed down let's hear all about the vibe in New Orleans. One of the best SB's ever. From 10 points behind that was one hell of a win. Great game as well. 2 quality teams who will def be close to getting back there again next year. That onside kick was one of the best calls ever - they needed something to get them going and it doesn't get much better than that. Jammy c****s!!!! lol First part of the treble. Saints to win the SB. Saints to get to Wembley. Saints to beat Pompey. I would quote one of my earlier posts about 'being worried about Saints winning the SB' - yeah I am a bit gutted cos this was the first year for ages I ain't backed em at the start of the season but ho hum. They were only about 20/1 anyway. When you've had em at 250/1 that didn't seem right!!! Top stuff. Enjoyed it.

Springfield - the capital city. I listen to a radio show from there every Friday night (The Boot Party on WQNA). http://www.bootpartyradio.com/ Have plans to go to Folkies pub one night there (one of the DJ's from the Boot Party DJ's Punk stuff at this bar once or twice a week). I'd def be up for a few beers and a bit of Saints talk when I do get round to popping over there. Doesn't have to be at Folkies if that doesn't sound like your type of thing - as long as the place sells beer then that suits me fine. So far we have 4 mid-west Saints from: Clarendon Hills (the boondock part of Chicago, IL) Springfield, IL Carbondale, IL Terre Haute, IN Any more lurking around? -

Where in IL are you? Seeing as it is the State next to mine I'm sure we can sort something out in regards to a few beers sometime. Like I said I know a Saints fan from down in Carbondale, southern IL. If you are around Chicago then it ain't exactly 'down the road' but in USA terms we'd all still be quite close. -

Setanta USA are showing the Chelsea game: http://www.setanta.com/us/tv-listings/ FSC hasn't got anything down yet for an early game. This can well change though. Don't give up hope yet! http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/tvschedule Pretty sure ESPN don't show FA Cup games. Will check out the more obscure channels nearer the time. If it isn't shown LIVE then either Setanta or FSC could well show the full game sometime over the weekend. As long as you have a bit of suss you'll be able to avoid the score pretty easily. Failing that then a stream it is going to have to be. Hopefully there will be some good ones around. Anyone on here from the Indiana/mid-west area? I know another Saints fan over in Southern IL. Would be good to get an annual meet-up going sometime. Or even just a USA one anywhere - doesn't have to be in this part of the country. Is there such a thing as a 'USA Saints' group thingy at all? Would be good. -
Man - there were some right ol' 2 & 8's in some of those videos George. Which geezer in a dress are you? Good to see that they let people drink on the streets there. Is that always the case? I like the variation by some bloke - 'Who dat say we're gonna f*ck up the Colts'. Where are you watching the game? Are many traveling to Miami without tickets just to be part of it? In a couple of years the SB is in Indy - if the Saints make it there again then you'll have to come up here and we'll sort out a good pìss up. This assumes they ain't playing the Broncos - if that is the case then you can f**** off!!! Really looking forward to the game on Sunday. What about you? lol lol lol

I actually quite enjoyed the Pro-Bowl last night. I think it is way better having it before the Superbowl. It gave them something to talk about and there were some great interviews with Manning & Brees. Quite funny seeing them sat next to each other all polite and wishing each other luck etc. Both are eloquent and come across as very knowledgeable. They give way more than 'the team with the least amount of turnovers will win' type of answers. It did help that I backed 'overs' (spread was 57.5 points). This got passed in the 3rd quarter. Was great just wanting both teams to score a load - and they did. There were even some Broncos on the pitch. Brando Marshall's last game in Bronco's colours? We'll see...

Supporters Group Meeting at St Marys Today. Important News About the Future.
Rut replied to Son of Bob's topic in The Saints
Like others I think the it would be cheaper and easier for all involved if they just opened up the Itchen North to Saints fans again. This WILL improve the atmosphere. Guaranteed. The Northam is loud because it is next to the away fans. People sit over in the Chapel/Kingsland corner because they want to be away from all the banter etc. Why change things? Seems a bit mad to me. If they are worried about the corporates being near to 'rude songs' etc then somehow I don't think too many of them are worried/shocked by that. I bet they enjoy the banter between the fans more than the game sometimes. It's not as if they are sat in their box scared for their lives. -
OK - I know some of you will rip the sh*t out of this but I reckon it's pretty good. Celebrating Saints fans - you can't beat it. http://videos.nola.com/times-picayune/2010/01/saints_video_bourbon_street.html Check out the mush in the bar in the yellow t-shirt singing 'Oh When the Saints'. He definitely has some potential. With a load of SFC fans to guide him in to how to sing the song properly I think he'd do well. He appears to have the right idea about getting w*nkered. You then get the celebrating of the winning Field Goal and then at about 1.30 the 'who dat song' can be heard. Again - with training - we could get them to ditch the brass band and add a few more songs to their repertoire. Here's to Southampton City Centre looking similar on 13 Feb - full of celebrating Saints fans! PS Can someone link me to really good video of SFC fans singing 'Oh when the Saints'. Cheers.
-
Saturday. That'll do nicely. 7.45am here. 99% certain TV game on Setanta USA. Not too early for a few beers and then have the rest of the day to celebrate. What are you other USA Saints planning on doing? 4.45am on the West Coast - do you stay up all night or set your alarm clock?

Saints to win the Superbowl on Feb 7th Saints to beat Pompey the weekend afterwards. New Orleans Saints have always been a bad team. This year they have been good & getting to the Superbowl is a bit like if SFC were to get to the FA Cup Final this year. They sing: 'Who Dat, Who Dat - Who Dat say they gonna beat dem Saints'. (as in 'nobody can beat us' kinda thing). This why they are known as the 'Who Dat Nation'. They also sing 'Oh when the Saints go Marching In'. No surprise there but it is always good to hear that song being belted out. If they win the Superbowl I think it will be a good omen for the week after. 'Saints win' headlines will p*ss off Pompey fans - whatever the sport!!!
-
What a great game. Saints for the Superbowl. Then the week after. WHO DAT again. WHO DAT - WHO DAT - who dat say they gonna beat dem Saints!!!! Not f***** Colts and def not f******* Pompey!!!! WHO DAAAAAATTTTT - hey George? lol You Saints........ You Saints.......
