  1. It’s a strange lineup for sure. Ah fuck it, go on Saints, go and prove us wrong.
  2. It’s a poor benchmark. You can’t get much worse than Trump, and Biden was quite rightly effectively elected on that sort of campaigning. But in himself he’s a pretty poor leader, he’s lacking inspiration, he’s too old, he’s gaffe ridden and he’s not exactly doing anything in his own national politics to make anyone over there think he’s their future, even amongst his own supporters. It’s kind of akin to uk politics but without the age range. Starmer and Labour have gained enormous traction by having some ideas but also mostly so far by not being Tory. I quite like Starmer, he’s bland and inoffensive(I don’t necessarily mind that) because he’s also obviously very intelligent and a sensible man, and he’s also quite politically savvy. I also think he’s got some decent people behind him, but I’m not sure yet if there’s a huge amount of substance behind him. Labour will be getting my vote for sure, also as Alan Whitehead is a good local MP, but I’m not hugely optimistic that a change of the guard just suddenly solves everything that the Tories have messed up. Labour’s first job is just to get in, then it’s to show how they can make a real difference. I am absolutely more than willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, but just ‘being better than Johnson and Truss’ isn’t anywhere near enough, they’ll prove themselves by getting in and doing something decent. They’ll get elected, I can’t see any other result unless the British public collectively shit themselves again, and after that then we’ll properly see what they’re about.
  3. Jimmy Case and David Armstrong both used to work for a local stationery firm when they were done with Saints. Jim sometimes used to drive the van and drop stuff off to our office.
  4. I’m fully expecting to see Eluseless in the starting eleven yet again. Then put my head in my hands. Again.
  5. “From the front” seems quite a pertinent statement. Wouldn’t be surprised gambling ads allowed on warm up tops and on matchday shirt sleeves…
  6. He’ll be 29 in the summer, and it already looks like he can barely get through 45 minutes of a game without looking completely exhausted. Hes been a disaster of a signing, one of many this season that haven’t in any way addressed our deficiencies and made the first team better. I keep hearing talk of a summer clear out but, aside from the main obvious standouts like JWP, Lavia and a handful of others, I can’t see many teams wanting to come in for the ones we want rid of as they are just too shit and too expensive.
  7. Tbf Bradley set the benchmark and shit sticks.
  8. Salisu is still very young in terms of a top centre back. It strikes me that he’s got some learning to do and would benefit from being in a strong partnership alongside a good quality, more experienced head. I can see a top ten side coming in for him, Newcastle have been rumoured before, I can see there being a bit of internet in him. He’s obviously got a stubborn streak to him, refused to play for his national side for ages, so absolutely can’t see him staying here next year if there’s any interest at all from a higher league.
  9. Got the telly on, just watching Wesley Hoedt lumber about at the back for Watford. HCDAJFU.
  10. Onuachu, Mara, DCC, Edozie started on the bench. Orsic, Aribo, Bree, Larios didn’t make the bench. 8 players from our transfer strategy this season who for one reason or another didn’t make our first team today. What a fucking disaster.
  11. More fool them for starting with ten men. And I thought they were quite astute. Although you could argue that Selles is doing the same by starting with Eluseless every week, I suppose.
  12. Almost as good as his brother Kevin.
  13. You’d have to be a moron to think Brexit hasn’t had an impact on ferry queues. Oh, hi Jamie.
  14. Yes, she does seem quite sensible.
  15. That was a saga, it ran over days 🤣 it referenced traffic works going on in the area and all sorts of barmy creations. Halcyon days those, bettered only by the b-anted days. When a certain poster by the name of Paul Allen bullied Romsey Stu,into wearing a Ben Sherman shirt to the Derby away playoff game ( and which I was there for that game and saw the little fat Pygmy wearing it, some terrible red and blue tartan affair, bless him).
  16. I remember him saying he lived locally, then when trying to prove it he went to the paper shop and bought (and posted) a foreign copy of The Sun. Gotcha.
  17. I’m struggling to think how that’s even possible, but I don’t doubt it in the slightest. The guy was a complete fruitcake wanker.
  18. Christ, I’d forgotten just how mental Dave is/was. What an absolute fucking weirdo.
  19. Seriously fella, you really need to reign in your Narcissus complex and your desire to be perceived as some sort of online social justice warrior. At the moment you’re just making yourself look very daft.
  20. Newspaper reports suggest he was on £10m to £12m a year, 7 months into a 5 year contract. He’s got enough money to wait it out until the summer or even later and see what his options are. I don’t think Chelsea will damage his reputation too much, he’s done a bit of a shit job there but I get the feeling it’s a bit of a basket case of a club and their transfer strategy has been somewhat illogical. Getting a PL job or even a top side abroad shouldn’t be a problem for him.
  21. Yep, just looking at this. We’ll get some reasonably close games like Reading, Bristol City, Millwall and QPR (love Loftus Road). But yeah, really a lot of games that are a good old chew away.
  22. Despite our insipid performance I’m still furious about the West Ham goal being given. It’s probably the correct decision according to the laws, but it’s an utterly stupid law. When the ball has been played in it was aimed towards at least 4 of their players, 3 who were blatantly offside and all made movements towards the ball as it came In. You simply can’t convince me that the presence of those offside players makes zero difference to the positioning and actions of the defenders and keeper. They’re interfering with play as far as I’m concerned. Dopey law. Ah well, season over now, we’re done. Just need to get to 30 points somehow so it doesn’t look completely embarrassing.
  23. Little and little up front then I guess. Reckon tall Paul will get the nod soon enough.
  24. Blimey, Elmo did something useful.
