Fair play to that DSB lad for doing some mock-ups based on the rumours so far. I can only hope that his kit designs, while being accurately aligned to the rumours of the colour schemes we’ve heard mooted on here, are nowhere near what Hummel have planned for us. I’ve seen some awful mock-ups in my time but the white with red narrow stripe, the blue sea wave, and the camo green; those three are right up there as the worst ever actual kits or mock ups I’ve ever seen.

Get Uncle Les on the phone, I’m sure he’s got them on speed dial.

If anyone thinks Danny DrinkDriver is the answer, I’d hate to know what the question is.

Not a good moment for that Levi lad.

Not a fan of that myself.

Yes, it’s potentially a massively difficult decision. We don’t know how much the individual terms are but, at this level and the level of funding available to such a small group of personnel of footballers, it’s definitely a difficult choice to make. For example….Chloe Morgan plays for Crystal Palace in the Championship. She is a personal injury lawyer, a solicitor. Her day job would likely earn her more money and definitely much more future opportunities than a career in football. From what I gather a number of our players are either students or recent grads. They have a whole career ahead of them in whatever field they studied in. As such they may well have an extremely difficult decision to make. Football is the glamour but, outside of the elite clubs and the top top players, it’s a risk to take. It is not flippant to suggest that a full time pro contract may not be in everyone’s interests.

I’ve not been made redundant myself, though I’ve both previously sacked and made redundant people that worked for me. I can’t imagine doing either of those things, as their direct manager, without being involved in the process and being there when the final decision happened. The owners, they’ve got no business getting their hands dirty with this. No blame in them. I’d like to imagine Ralph talked it through with the three personally beforehand about what was going to happen. If he did, then fine. It’s a shitty thing to have to do and it needs to be done properly, both legally and morally. No idea if he did or didn’t so can’t comment on that process, but as their direct boss he should have interfaced with them at some point in the proceedings.

Two poor examples. Brian Clough in particular relied upon having a strong right hand man working alongside him. Peter Taylor is rightly remembered as being a major part of Clough’s success. Alex Ferguson had a few number twos, and gave them a lot of responsibility to take the hands on coaching while Ferguson had an oversight role.

No you don’t. You do in the WSL. I looked into this just recently and, from what I could tell, most of the clubs in the Championship are semi pro.

He has actually. Granted he was youngish at the time. Decent player like I say, but I think it’s telling that no one has come in for him since he let go by Leicester. At 28 and as an attacking midfielder, he has maybe not got too long left at his peak. But as another poster said, if he’s free and doesn’t cost mad wages, he can’t be much worse than what we’ve got.,I’m just hoping for a lot better than we’ve got, and Tom Lawrence isn’t that IMO.

Decent player in the championship, not cut out for premier league imo.

Why? We don’t have a right back without Livramento.

Probably my favourite movie of all time. Fantastic casting, Ray Liotta was brilliant. Excellent in Field of Dreams too, the first film I saw him in.

I think I’ve spotted a flaw in your plan.

The question I’d ask is, why did he not do anything about it before now? Not allowed to? Wanted to but refused by the club? Other?

In that case, yeah, Delap may well struggle to get a chance. Although it looks like Jesus will be off this summer, so who knows.

A loan seems the most likely outcome to me, but even then I wouldn’t be surprised if Man City don’t want to release him. Last season City played almost 60 games in all competitions. They’ve got an extremely good squad so are able to rotate their players, but they don’t have an abundance of genuine ‘strikers’. Haaland will obviously get loads of game time, Jesus will get some if he’s still there, but Delap is only 19 so still plenty of time for him. City resisted offers to send Delap on loan in January so it will be interesting to see what they’ll do this summer.

Those aren’t the only choices, are they? He is supposed to have been on 40 grand a week base salary at WHU, and they don’t want to offer him a contract, he’s been injury prone this year and slipped down to third choice RB. In any case, it seems he’s going to Fulham.

I quite like the booking systems as it seems to keep numbers down, but the lack of same day booking gets me. It’s pretty annoying. Saying that, I have never had my vehicle reg checked whenever I have gone to the tip (at least not that I’ve seen them checking). The appointments are available in 30 minute blocks, best to leave it until 15-20 minutes after the start and there’s usually loads of parking spots available.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

Wont somebody think of the poor energy companies who are being taxed on their record profits earns in a time of national crisis. At least those energy companies have been given right of way through this levy-not-a-tax to get future tax relief on their pillaging of Britains fossil fuels for decades to come. -

Not sure I can tally these two posts. On one hand you say that you always only ever vote for whoever benefits you and your family. But if the Labour Party would be demonstrably better for you and your family, you wouldn’t vote for them because they cover up child molesters, they’re race baiters, and they don’t know what a woman is. -
Blimey. That’s a huge step that the club have taken, fair play.
-
Yes it does. But we don’t know yet. I’m hoping for this outcome and that Ralph is fully on board with it.
-
This is the part that troubles me. A manager and his coaches need to work together, bounce ideas off each other etc. if Ralph is forced to have coaches he doesn’t pick, that spells disaster to me. My concern is whether or not Ralph is fully on board with this. If he is, great, I’d only ask why he hasn’t effected this sort of change before now. If he isn’t, well, the options are stark.
-
What I said and what you’ve said aren’t mutually exclusive. But it seems quite clear that this is a direction he was given. Hopefully it’s a positive move. I just hope it’s not something that Ralph resents, as that spells conflict. Hopefully you’re right, this is something that Ralph wants. I’d just wonder why he didn’t act on it before now.
