  1. Who would you drop to do this? Lallana seems to have made a good start to the season and stepped his game up from last season. Osvaldo is providing a bit more competition too. and as much as I thing Rodriguez is below par, he's about the only option we now have that offers some genuine pace and some form of ability to get on the ball and put defenders on the back foot. I'll be honest, I don't really know what our best starting line-up is since Osvaldo arrived; only to say that it seems to have pushed Ramirez backwards if anything.
  2. Have they? Where was this written?
  3. Actually a Spurs fan but with Saints leanings due to his time down here.
  4. I played golf yesterday morning, as it goes Phil. A very nice stroll around it was too.
  5. That part is correct.
  6. 38 games in a Premier League season, plus 3 this season = 41. What happened to the missing two games?
  7. Either Cerrrrrrraig David or Pinder, I'd have thought.
  8. There has always been a negative reaction on the forum after defeats. Always. There were doom laded threads in the old SaintsForever days, they're not any worse now on here.
  9. And check out their forum, it makes this one look tame, pretty much every other thread bemoaning either the team selection, lack of signings or Moyes in general..
  10. Yep; agreed. Kind of puts it in a bit more perspective.
  11. Just for reference: MP has now been with Saints for 19 games. He has a record of W6 D8 L5. Over the course of a full season that would yield 52 points, typically enough to secure an 8th place finish. Quite clearly that is very good. Although I do share the concerns of the last few games and that the progress we have made under MP seems to have regressed somewhat.
  12. Pretty much sums it up for me. At the back end of last season we beat Liverpool, Chelsea and reading in succession and MP's stock was sky high. Since then we've regressed and scored just 8 points in 9 games against West Ham, Swansea, West Brom, Tottenham, Sunderland, Stoke, West Brom, Sunderland and Norwich, while also becoming very predictable (as our low scoring record indicates).
  13. Come on Benjob, you asked the question.
  14. Benny! A genuine question other than following me around and just playing the child! I feel honoured, so I'll answer. Now, the quote that I answered in the first place was: Marco decided to question this. Now, if you could please just point out which goal Saints have scored from open play this year, we'll go from there.
  15. Shurlock; as the northerners would say. Bob on, son. Bob on.
  16. Well I'm fairly sure it's the direct result of the ball being played in from the dead ball, give or take a deflection or two.
  17. Hurrah!! Benners has got his obsession back on again!! Welcome back Benny!!
  18. Mac, the only crying I'm doing is of two sorts. The first is tears of desperation in your endeavours to follow me around like you have something to prove. The second is my tears of laughter at how painfully basic you must be to not recognise the difference between a goal scored from open play and a goal scored from a dead ball. Your attempts to diffuse your idiocy are desperate. Desperate. Pass the tissues, i'm still laughing you.:lol:
  19. Still laughing :lol::lol:
  20. A free kick isn't a dead ball then? You're really not doing well here Mark
  21. Glad to see it's only one idiot who doesn't know the difference between scoring from a dead ball and scoring from open play.
  22. This is an internet forum. What are you expecting? Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola to log on and tell us where we could otherwise have got a better result today?
  23. Poch seems to mostly leave him on the bench at the start of the game; so yes, I reckon the manager has got that part spot on.
  24. So the "Guly contract" does exist after all? #turkishwasright
