When a striker such as Andy Carroll goes for £35M it makes an utter mockery of the transfer market and makes it a bit irrelevant to make too many comparisons. Yes Adrian. It definitely "makes sense". There's no other reason for signing an international player for £3.5M and deeming him not good enough to play instead of Calamity Hooiveld. The signing without any doubt definitely "makes sense". Thankfully the club takes a similar long term planning policy as an up-your-own-backside-thinking-individual such as yourself, and cannot see any fault with it. Like you say, it totally "makes sense" to sign an international player of 25 years age, and not play him. Not even for one minute of the season. It makes sense to do that. Of course it does. A 25 year old WANTS to be on the bench. I'm glad the club thinks that, and hopefully for the next few years, and not the next few months like most fans. What do they know, eh?? Ha ha ha. I believe Ramirez has the same agent as Guly and for next season the agent is negoyiating to tie it into a 70/20 clause for the pair of them. SFC are obviously tied in to Gaston's 70 minute clause, nothing they can do to change that, but from what my ITK sources tell me they're not keen on extending the terms of Guly's current 15 minute clause.

Not really. As we're a top status academy we're not subject to the 90 minute rule any more, so it would extremely easy to prove that we have a distinct advantage over other clubs by having two academy bases.

I'm not sure where you've got the idea from that I think we're unique in that respect. We're not at all, and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the satellite academy withdrawn.

Yes, you've missed the rules. Clubs are typically only allowed to have one academy, based at their home club. And they've previously been limited to only being able attract kids from within a 90 minute driving time. To combat the fact that half our catchment area is the Channel we were allowed an extra satellite academy. It's that right that now could be removed.

Where do you stop? Population size? In terms of location Swansea are at a considerable disadvantage to the major conurbations. The new academy system is already massively loaded in favour of bigger clubs, so Brizzle have got a very fair grievance about us or any other club having a satellite academy in their locale.

What on earth are you wittering on about? This is a win win situation. The family got no joy from the club. Presumably they didn't just give up after being told "no" once, so it was already a bit of a saga and a sensitive one at that. Family go to social media and the club hierarchy get in contact with an offer to resolve the issue and ensure no more hassle is caused to the family from a genuine mistake. Fair play to Turkush for doing something proactive to get it easily resolved, and fair play to the club for listening and getting it sorted promptly.

How do you know that didn't happen? The club got in contact with Turkish through social media, after his family had been rebutted by the club. fair play to the club for sorting it out, but the situation should never have arisen in the first place so fair play to Turkish for raising the issue publicly and getting it sorted.

I feel the opposite. I have the Umbro sash kit anddon't think its as nice as 3 adidas tops I have. I only wear them all for 5 a side (not at the same time, clearly) but having been through that and regular washing & tumble drying, a couple of the adidas ones are 3 or 4 years old now and almost as good as new. To be fair the Umbro is still decent, but I prefer the fit of the adidas tops.

Lee is on a lot more than that; there was some article last season that suggested he was on around £25K a week. With promotion bonus, God only knows how much of his current wage we're contributing to. Hopefully we haven't had to contribute too much to the wages of the others we have had out on loan.
