Concerns about not scoring enough goals are valid in general, but not for today's performance. 1-0 away at the league leaders is brilliant in anyone's book. In fact any away 1-0 victory is superb for us. We do need to score more at home, but that's for another day.

Should MP be sacked if we don't get 3 points at Anfield?

There's definitely a London office that a couple of the sales/sponsorship team work out of. -

Did norwaysaint actually read any of the embarrassed people's responses where they actually said it was press spin? More "norwaysaint moaning about other posters" once again.
-
I do too. Funnily enough I was walking to the ground last week and a couple of chaps behind me were discussing the fact that we're in the news a lot talking about Champions League this and that. One of them said "I know, embarrassing isn't it?". I raised a smile. Good job there weren't any other m-boarders around him to chastise him for being embarrassed. To be fair, once again the press are putting their spin on what was actually asked and responded to. But its the constant guff coming out from the club that means CL will always be the question, and always the resulting headline.

I'm still at a loss as to how you can have a flaw in an opinion of your own. There's no right or wrong, as its an opinion. A bit like if I asked you "do you prefer the sash kit to the Rank Xerox kit". If you said "my favourite Saints kit is the sash kit", it would be a bit daft to respond "the flaw in your argument is that the Rank Xerox kit was more popular in an online poll". Jesus, I just bored myself typing that out. I'd argue that we should move on. Arguably. -
Pretty much that. Especially as I have 2 Saints defenders in my Fantasy League team.

Thanks bud. Now I realise its an argument simply to present one's point of view. "I'd argue that a bacon sandwich is my favourite breakfast." I'd argue it definitely is. Every day is a school day. Lovely. -

Its not even a debate though, is it? Alpine wondered "how many of us are really, really deep-down happier than at this time 2 years ago." That's not a debate; that's just asking if there are some that feel that way. Clearly Alpine does, and I'd say I do, plus a few others I've seen express the same sentiments. There's no argument or debate whatsoever to be had; you either prefer football then, or you don't. -

Why is it an "argument" to suggest that some people think differently to others? There's no correct answer to what Alpine asks, just contrasting opinions. Being in the top division is a good thing, being able to attract decent players is great, and toppling the best sides in England (and Europe tbf) is a wonderful feeling. That said, I still look back extremely fondly on our days in the Championship. Even the season after the playoffs when we really struggled; staying up against Sheff Utd on the final day remains my favourite day ever at St. Mary's. The natural, popular answer on here is that the PL is the be all and end all. Fair enough, its a sensible supposition. But equally there does exist a minority (of which I'm in) who can enjoy the spoils of the top league but actually preferred it more in the Championship. -
Was always going to happen, no surprise at all unfortunately. Australia and the other bid nations will sue and FIFA will use some of their filthy money to grease the wheels.

Agreed. I thought he was excellent in the second half and gave us options from central midfield while also allowing Morgan to get forward more.
