It could of been us as sisu take coventry into administration

I'd be very surprised. It isn't just a stadium; there is the concert venue, exhibition centre, a shopping centre, leisure centre, hotel, casino, bars, cafes and shops. All owned by the council and a charitable trust, who also both run it. The council have a plan to encourage redevelopment with the whole Ricoh site, the stadium is a part of it and I don't see that they'll just sell it off on the cheap. It may not be as attractive to buy the club without owning the ground; that perhaps may not even be a choice. -

You're such a wheeze as ever, Vectis. -
I have honestly never heard that name before anywhere, let alone for Saints.

Yep. Original rent was £1.2M per year; Ricoh owners have offered to reduce it to £400K, CCFC only want to pay £200K. -

The stadium isn't for sale. Its likely that any new owners will have to negotiate a tenancy agreement with the stadium owners; doubtful they'll sell it, as its part council owned and run. -

It can also be a terrible move too. You sound like the posters at the time who were praying for administration while neglecting to think about the consequences, that we could have ended up with a bunch of skint chancers. We ended up getting really, really lucky with our owners; the Fialka debacle shows us what could have happened. Leeds fans won't tell you too many good stories about how administration has worked out for them, neither will plenty of other clubs, its a massive gamble. -

Is there any chance you can stop being such a pedantic arse, and just join in a discussion without having to correct people non stop? -
It's more than that. According to the man himself, its 2M euros per year, net. Which converting to £ Sterling and accounting for tax and employee's NI is around 4M euros. Add in employer's NI and its very close to £80K per week.

Acting lemon doesn't suit you, Milts.

Heard a few months ago that he was looking for parity with Ramirez, who is obviously the highest wage at the club.

Humbly received.

I have 8 infraction points. 2 for bypassing the swear filter, 2 when Justice Mike has a sense of humour bypass when I purposely did it again, 2 for calling Milts a relentless megaspastic, and 2 for calling the split pants Santa lad a fat mess. Unsurprisingly the dumb mods take a rather random approach to infractions, and after Garrett had a hissy fit, threw his toys out the pram and told me to "f*ck off c*nt", the same mod (Chalet) acknowledged it and waved play on. There we go.

You mean the same fans who thought our League 1 side would beat England? Sometimes the mongboard can be a genuinely funny place.

Chappers in the background literally looks like a baby in comparison.

I saw him play once on a random trip to Hull; his beer gut was simply staggering. You just had to stand back and be impressed that a man so patently at odds with the traditional professional footballer's image had made such a career for himself.

I think I'd have started supporting Wales if The Beast had ever played for England.

Good. He's still only 17 years old and has played in 20 games for us this season. Young players can easily be burnt out by playing them too much and too often, his development needs to be monitored very carefully. Plenty of time for the national side yet; and the last thing Saints need is for him to get injured on international duty. It'll be interesting to see if Saints let him go to the U21 tournament in the summer.
