I just wonder why Cortese is said to have disagreed with Adkins refusal to sign a top keeper yet sanctioned a million pound plus agreement for a keeper. Especially so when £12M Ramirez and this latest Norwegian clearly had minimal imput from the manager.

Indeed he did. So the committee must take the blame for that.

And we did. Three, in fact, over the summer. But then they were probably all "Adkins signings" rather than "committee signings", I suppose.

Yep. Despite approaching another manager to replace him in the summer, and despite our current manager having been approached weeks ago, Nigel Adkins had full control over our transfer policy. Of course he did. Or at least Frankie's cousin and his pals would probably try and still cling to. Glad the truth is finally out, even for those who never wanted to see.

The transfer committee bought the players. I will not believe in any instance that any player signed in the summer were "Adkins" transfers. Any player that leaves will be a failed signing from the Cortese Committee.

If someone could resurrect the original statue thread from Saints Forever, that would probably be my internet nirvana. Possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Which is why I mentioned his future earning power. Paid decently with us, and very much a manager in demand right now. He may have lived in a house roughly the same value as mine now, I wouldn't for one second consider myself to have parity with either his current/previous or future wage.
