At the risk of repeating myself......I think he could have made a difference against Man Utd from 2-1 up. At least. And no-one is saying he's the missing link.
-
3-0 Saints.
-
That worked well against Everton; thankfully all problems will be solved when Gaston is back.
-
As I said, its not a popularly held view, but I think he's much the better player.
-
Is miltonroader really a skate; or just a bit simple? He keeps sending me random private messages; its absolutely bizarre.
-
Yep, the clear and obvious answer. Used to watch Match of the Day with his goalie gloves on, and get his wife to randomly throw things at him to catch to keep his reflexes sharp. Absolute loony.

Its not a popular view on here, but I rate Jack Cork higher than Schneiderlin, always have. I think having had him fit would certainly have given us better options against Man United, and would have given us the option for a more secure midfield 3. He appeared in all 46 games last term and I think he's one of our players who has definitely got Premier League quality. Nice lad too.

Not quite up there with singing "small town in Villa" to the Brum fans (or small town in City to the United fans for that matter), but pretty good nonetheless.
-
I liertally cannot think of a question I'd like him to answer. I can sum up Kerry Dixon's Saints career in two words: "thankfully short".
-
If PdC was appointed I'd give him less than a month before he was sacked or walked out. He runs Swindon almost from top to bottom; he has complete control over everything player related. And make no mistake, its entirely the Paulo di Canio show down there. I was at Fratton Park with a Swindon supporting mate to see them beat the Skates; di Canio's antics on the sideline are f*cking cringeworthy, and he is entirely reactive to everything (a defender made a small mistake, di Canio threw a strop and hauled him off, which ended up making the defence much worse). And at the end, after securing the win, di Canio was the first one over to applaud the fans and was the last one to leave, milking it all to maximum effect. It's a no from me.

Micah Hall himself admitted that 90% of what he has pulled together had already been released through the media at some previous point in the past few years. It was once of the reasons he gave that he wasn't overly worried about litigation; the bulk of his information had already been released into the public domain. What he has done is brought it all together and joined the dots; a credible effort, of course, but most of what he stated had previously gone before, notably throughout this thread.

No more than others, no. I can't really remember watching them much this season, to be honest.
-
Ah yes; just read it. Seems a bit strange to me to base your judgement on one game against us this season (in which they thrashed us 4-1 but were apparently "gifted it") and 2 games from last season. But there we go.
-
Who is? Are you saying West Ham's team isn't of Premier League quality?
-
Which is probably why he wrote "Premier League quality and experience", rather than half the phrase you picked up on.

 I hate the Echo. I don't know what's in it, but by God I hate it.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks
The Kraken replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Also take a look at Liverpool to see what sort of guarantee spending "hundreds of millions" provides for a high league finish. Maybe they should have gone for The9's dead mutt after all. -

It's quite something. I don't think you, I, or anyone else is saying he's an amazing manager. He's probably done about as well as I'd expect a decent manager would do given the resources he's enjoyed. Do I want him here? Absolutely not. But the clueless comments of how cr*p he is, The9's barking analogy with his dead dog (pun completely intended) and how one particular moron would prefer Poortvliet et all in charge, well I can't do much with stupidity like that. And poor old NickG has taken to quoting his own school essay to try and convince himself he's right. -

What a very, very strange post. Manager gets criticised for selling players and bringing in better ones; all within a budget given to him by the CEO. The dog analogy about sums it up. -

Quite a lot, actually. He "spent" £105M on players, which as has been suggested is an enormous outlay. However for that same period Tottenham also received £68M from player sales; so a net outlay of £37M, comparitively not much more than we've just spent over one summer. The following season Tottenham spent £3M more on transfers than fees received in (£31M spent, £28M received). The following year it was higher at £17M (or almost half our net spend this summer). The idea that 'Arry was given about £100M and spent it all on transfers is plain daft. He spends big, and wages are probably very high which is a factor, but in the transfer market just looking at fees in and out he's got a decent record (and even did so at Pompey, funnily enough; it was the ongoing wages that crippled them, the transfer surplus was quite impressive). -

Quite frankly, yes; of course we should. -
Seriously, what? I really, really cannot work this statement out. Appy is such a terrible c*nt with no frip on reality or morality.

Its the very unsurprising nature of the fickle football fan. The poll after the Fulham game suggested that NA's approval rating was 95%. A heavy defeat to West Ham and that was down to 75%. Expect a similar movement either way with a win or a defeat on Saturday, and to stay about the same with a draw.

Also.... We have used the highest number of different goalkeepers in the league, highlighting our amazing squad depth. Our players have shown they know how to put the ball in the net at any end by having scored the most own goals in the division; Jos Hooiveld is blazing a trail with two of his own (which really should be three, for the second against Fulham). We have a pristine white away kit just waiting to be unleashed on some poor team, great surprise factor there. The positives are almost endless.
