  1. Lampard man of the match?:lol::lol::lol::lol:
  2. Erm, what's going on now? Baines didn't look injured....
  3. Lescott really is a blundering buffoon.
  4. At last. Get off you c*nt.
  5. He'll probably get man of the match. "Got into some great positions", never mind that he was God awful when he got there. This is such a poor performance from England, so tepid and utterly uninspiring. Milner waste of space, AOC lost on the left, Cleverly a useless pile of shit. Not convinced with Lescott and Jagielka either. How on earth are we ranked 3rd in the world?
  6. OK, f*ck off now Cleverley you club-footed sh*te-hawk.
  7. F*cks sake, how has Cleverley missed that?! Absolute spacktard, he shouldn't be anywhere near an England shirt. Adz; get warmed up son.....
  8. Couldn't do any worse; Cleverley has been awful so far.
  9. Amen to that.
  10. Pretty much the same as Chinny and the Trust's bid then, no? They both intend to pay off the CVA and player deferrals (debts) and then let the club live within its means (i.e. no further investment). Welcome to the new bid; just as sh*t and potless as the old bid.
  11. Andy Carroll has pace, does he? Peter Crouch would be getting picked had he not thrown a hissy fit and refused to go on standby; he's got pace, has he? Journalists are so ignorant with their big club bias; its why Dyer won't get picked as he's not as much of a name as Sterling, who has played less than 10 first team games. Football365 is a bad as the rest of them; today they run a feature on the Premier League's top 10 teenagers. No inclusion for James Ward-Prowse, of course. Don't be silly, you have to be a Premier League top 10 player to get in this list. Arsenal x 2, Liverpool x2, Man City x 2, Man Utd, Newcastle, Everton, Fulham. Lazy, ignorant journalism.
  12. Have a read of Roy Hodgson in the press today, lamenting the fact that the Premier League is made up of less than 35% of English players. Here's a novel idea, Roy. Maybe there are 1 or 2 Championship players who might just offer you a better option than a bit-part player for a top 6 side. Adam Lallana didn't suddenly become a much better player by playing 3 Premier League games. Oxlade-Chamberlain didn't become international quality because he had £15M spent on him. Theo Walcott didn't become and England world cup squad player simply by having a £12M deal agreed for him. Rickie Lambert scored 27 goals and made 14 assists in the Championship last year. You simply can't tell me that he was miles in the running behind all the other candidates and wasn't worth at least a try. The same is true for players at the unfashionable Premier League clubs; Scott Sinclair, Nathan Dyer, Grant Holt, Danny Graham etc etc all at least worth a try.
  13. I once saw a football manager consider making a subsitution to bring on Paul Moody in place of Matthew Le Tissier. Thankfully that manager had a last minute change of heart, but it was baffling nonetheless.
  14. Its the thing of late. Look at Darron Gibson; utterly average midfield player who managed to blag himself a trip to the Euros in the summer. But because he did nothing to suggest to the manager he was good enough to actually get on the pitch, he's now stated he doesn't want to be considered for international football in the immediate future as his head isn't in the right place after suffering such a snub. Such an unjustifiably arrogant cockwomble.
  15. Michael Owen....
  16. I struggle to see why Darren Bent and Peter Crouch haven't been called up; aside from Defoe they're the only 2 strikers we have left with any decent international pedigree. With those two out, I can't see either Holt or Lambert getting a go. Its really worrying that the quality of strikers coming through just seemingly isn't there right now.
  17. Given the level of competition he's up against I'd agree; but picking someone from Celtic (or any other Scottish club) is almost as unlikely picking someone from the Championship.
  18. Out of curiosity; who, exactly? We hardly have an abundance of riches upfront for England.
  19. To be fair on that thread, the Trust are starting to face some serious questioning in terms of the actual finances. Questions that aren't being answered all that convincingly. Perhaps the penny is starting to drop that the finances perhaps don't quite add up.....
  20. In other news...............Nathaniel Clyne has come on at half time for England U21s against Norway.
  21. Oh dear. According to POL, the parameters of the Trust bid seem to be changing....
  22. That's not Birch making a comment, that's the BBC making an assumption. There's also another line at the end of that report: Being as this offer was received last week, seemingly after discussions with Trevor Birch and also with Portpin for the ground debenture, then it could be surmised that Birch has already started pursuing other options. Either way, it doesn't stack up as good news for the Trust; if another party has offered/agreed more than £2.75M for the ground debenture then that blows a major hole in their bid proposal.
  23. From BBC:
  24. Except for the Trust fella on POL who is desperately trying to stop himself from going on a full frontal assault of this latest bid (but ultimately failing in his efforts). He's already denigrated the bid to categorically state that it offers nothing more than the Trust is offering and seems to want go on the attack about further revelations (talk about staying classy and professional!). And all this from an organisation who haven't even yet been able to submit a credible bid offer. Still, throw enough mud and some will stick, I suppose.
  25. True, good point. Whether they were comps or not is up for debate, but it would seem those same seats are now up for sale so perhaps it is problem solved (or all comp seats have been moved so as to not be right in the focus of the TV cameras).
