  1. The Ipswich fanzine match report claimed the move was started by a ball " to the probably offside Lallana", I so watched it back at the time. The camera angle isn't great, but unless there's a player way out of shot playing Lallana on then he looks very clearly offside.
  2. Good player. Terrible manager.
  3. To hit the green post from the angle chopra shoots from, the ball would have to go through the goal. Unless he can bend it like Beckham.
  4. I must be watching a different highlights package to others above. It clearly comes back off the bar. The bar (and upper netting) visibly shake, this just wouldn't happen if it hit the green post. Also, watch Dan Harding's position all the way throughout. He is looking at the ball the whole way. You don't think he'd notice and appeal if the ball hadn't travelled an extra 6 yards out, and 6 yards back into play?
  5. And while the crossbar and whole netting shook from the impact of the ball.
  6. So you're suggesting the ball hit the external stantions? My apologies, that's even more ridiculous.
  7. Can you point out where the stantions are please? Or anything other than the post/bar that might cause the ball to rebound in the way it did.
  8. Aside from the fact that the goal doesn't actually have any stantions, you might be right.
  9. What on earth are you talking about?
  10. My matchday eating and drinking experience is a very finely tuned process: Beers. Pub lunch. Beer at the ground. Game starts. Whiskey from hip flask. Half time beer. More whiskey from hip flask. Post match pub beers. Takeaway and home.
  11. Good player, but probable attitude-problems and his career seems to have been going backwards for a few years. A Hull-supporting mate told me an interesting rumour about him; that when Hull originally wanted to sell or loan him off their books they were looking at shelving him to Celtic, who were sniffing around. The allegation is that Bullard was prepared to do it only if Hull continued to pay his wages (around £45K per week) and Celtic also chipped in £30K per week on top. True or not, aside from that he seems a bit of a mercenary anyway and as I said, his career has been in decline since his Premier League days.
  12. Let's not get carried away; as I mentioned a few posts above, you're only in tenth place for now......
  13. Millwall have imploded.
  14. With all due respect; would it not be prudent (before spending a whole load more money on another untried system) to find out which setups similar football forums use, and emulate one of the successful ones?
  15. Sven and Lolcester have signed a lot of players; it will remain to be seen whether they have actually bought a team.
  16. I think scoring 2 goals and having a hand in the other 3 during a championship game just might have more to do with getting attention from the national press, if I'm honest.
  17. And 138 points. Nice and symmetrical.
  18. It may be a predictable answer but it's entirely the correct one. It's hard to justify that any player is "worth" the vast sums of money that they are going for, yet transfer fees continue to go up and up purely because of the factors outlined above.
  19. Cheers for the response. In truth, we all shouldn't really be getting too upset it all. I'm sure it's frustrating for the people that want to use the match threads though; so if the next form of changes fix it all, great. But it's not as if this is the only scoreline service on the web, Saints Twitter is proving to be a very popular resource. As I said before, I don't use the match threads, so it doesn't really affect me too much. In restrospect though, I'm quite happy to keep paying the fiver. It's worth us all remembering something; back when Saints Forever was in operation it wasn't exactly a free site. I was among many posters who donated towards the site to keep up with the ever increasing costs that were being incurred as the site got more popular. We should just see the £5 a year as an extension of that. But if the server problems can be fixed, all the better!
  20. It would seem a shame if the club just scrap that kit altogether; it's a timeless design. Hopefully what they've done is remove it from sale while the new kits are flying out the door and will re-instate it for good in a couple of months time.
  21. I don't use the match thread facility so I'm fairly new to the failing server experiences that many others have seen. However, it seems to be a common theme that many have suggested the forum only be open for Full Members during match time. Is this not a viable solution? Or would it make little difference?
  22. So is there actually any chance of the site owners addressing this issue? A fair few people pay £5 for a service which doesn't actually work. A lot more people (myself included) don't use the match threads yet also pay the £5, as I potentially may want to post more than 3 times a day. Either way, a lot of people are handing over cash for a service they either don't want or can't get. So what's the next solution?
  23. Edit: Wrong thread.
  24. St. Lard is in 10th place in the SWF predictions league. He has (correctly) predicted Saints to win for each of the last 4 games. Make of that what this will. In any case, this baiting is childish and needless.
