  1. The team that scrapes into the play-offs is always the dark horse to win it. Could be us... 😀
  2. SHYTE
  3. Vestergaard scores for Leicester.
  4. Coventry hit the crossbar
  5. AA - over.
  6. Second half about to begin!
  7. I don't hate it, it's neat and tidy but it lacks incisiveness and we look iffy against the counter attack. With better players this system would look great. We clearly need a good striker in and if that is not Ross due to fitness then someone else needs to be brought in in January. Continue with Adams and Mara as the only non-AA options (who is better out wider anyway) and we will not go up.
  8. We look better than we are - if that makes sense. It looks like we're bossing the game but we aren't really doing much with it. Some decent passes strung together, a bit of decent vision and then it seems to go nowhere and Coventry are then ready on the Counter attack. AA smashes one over the bar...
  9. Sky Go - it's a stream. Don't look on the TV guide - click BROWSE then Sports and it will be there.
  10. Great block from Cov. Decent passing. AA could have scored.
  11. I'm stuck at work and have Sky Go but apparently it doesn't support the red button facility. The SS app does apparently so I'm looking into that. My usual stream isn't working so if the SS app doesn't work then I'm reduced to SSNews and BBC website/SaintsWeb.
  12. Shame as it would have been interesting playing a 6th tier team but hey, even if we play the likes of Edozie, SAA, Mara up top we should have enough to beat Walsall. I mean, if Mara can't score against Walsall then...
  13. The all important battle for 3rd place hots up. 😄 Annoyingly Coventry are starting to find some form, 3 wins in their last 4, but we should still have enough to beat them. This is one of those games we draw and pat ourselves on the back afterwards like it's a job well done, but we've dropped enough stupid points this season so I'm going with a Saints win - 1-0.
  14. If I remember correctly I think it was Che who was the goal scuffer. Fair play to AA for stepping up this year. Confidence does wonders to a player and i love his work rate and attitude. Leading by example.
  15. We can't do much about the 3 teams above us, all we can do is keep trying to win and keep pace with them and hope they'll trip up at some point. We still have to play them so...
  16. And that's my Saturday night movie sorted!
  17. Coventry pulled one back, too little too late.
  18. Lots of our old youth scoring today, N'Lundulu, Mugabi, Olomola... #greatestacademyever
  19. Typical, been sleeping after night shift, missed the first half and we're 2 up. I should sleep through more Saints games...
  20. Althouth THB would become ours if we went up and I think he's be good enough for a first XI spot in the Premier League. I agree with Downes though, I reckon West Ham would want him back after a great season on loan and he's a Hammer's fan anyway I believe so I'd be surprised if he was willing to stay. As for the rest of the squad I reckon we would need 7/8 players to really compete, A CB, A LB, 2 x CM, 2 x AM/Wingers and 1 if not 2 x strikers. That's probably £100 to £150 million of new players just to compete. It doesn't bear thinking about right now. Let's just get there and see. I don't see us getting into the auto spots so then it is the lottery of the play-offs.
  21. Replacing Sulemana isn't a problem, we've been getting more of a tune out of Fraser anyway of late and we also have Edozie, SAA and Aribo that can play there, but we absolutely need to be going out and signing a striker in January, even if it's on loan. AA is better playing wider and I'm not totally convinced with playing Alcaraz up top who I think is better slightly deeper. With Adams seemingly not being arsed right now and Mara showing no sign of improving, we definitely need a striker. Who? Ings? He'd be on my list. Someone like Kieffer Moore? Looking at the Prem there aren't too many options. We do need someone though, we can't rely on Ross getting back to full fitness by February let alone back to his goalscoring best. In our promotion season in 2012 we signed Sharp (the less said about Tadanari Lee and Iago Falque the better) and he got us over the line, I'd like to see us do the same thing again.
  22. He's definitely benefitting from game time and experience. Two top instinctive saves tonight and a clean sheet. Well done fella.
  23. I effectively wrote this exact paragraph and then saw yours. Unbeaten in 10 and yet we still aren't clicking, particularly in attack, and it was Baz that came up with a couple big saves today to keep us in it before our best player hands down won us the game. From right back. I'll take crappy wins for the rest of the season as long as we keep picking up 3 points (though it won't be good for the heart) but as it showed against Huddersfield and Rotherham, if we don't kill games off it could cost us. I just hope that when we get Ross back he clicks quickly because Adams isn't offering much right now.
  24. Tf for that. And a late Wednesday equaliser too
  25. It is. I reckon someone dies on Christmas Day... 🤪
