  1. Clappy face thing...
  2. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/sep/23/portsmouth-sulaiman-al-fahim-transfer-window Sound like anyone familiar? God they're in trouble.
  3. It's not all black and white though. A lot of people see Sir Winston Churchill as the greatest leader this country has ever seen, and forget that he was a Kurd killing drug addict. And conversely that Adolf Hitler was an amazing economist...(please don't take this as a defence for one of the most appalling men in the 20th century, I'm just making a point).
  4. Look, I am what is called a football snob. I don't like to release this into the domain too often. Personally, I hate football coverage in the press. I find it demeaning and patronising. And with the second point I was being facetious.
  5. Yes, I am saying they are wrong. "Who's the best sports journalist?" is like asking "Which is the best of the sexually transmitted diseases?". I think you are misunderstanding me Wes. I'm not saying they are any better or worse than broadsheets etc. In fact I haven't used that once. I'm saying ALL paper columnists are ****. They show no insight into sport (any sport for that matter) that people who know football already realise. The drivel they write are for the spoon fed masses. as I say, try http://www.football365.com, they show a different level to the papers etc, criticise when necessary, commend when necessary. A site for proper football fans (although it has gone downhill since Sky bought them out.
  6. I'm not saying the Red Tops don't have any decent journalists. I'm saying the Mail doesn't. Is it the Mail who has Jeff Powell (Rowley Birking QC) and Martin Samuel? I suggest you read Mediawatch on F365. It gives you a satirical look at the hypocrisy and agenda's present when these 'columnists' are writing their pieces. Granted, it's not Shaun Custis or Oliver Holt, but they're pretty damn awful. Seriously, give F365 a view, then you'll see how it all really works.
  7. Right, you can say he's in the top 100, you can say he's no 27, but please don't quote the Daily Mail. It takes all credibility away from your point.
  8. I assume GS is joking to be fair. If he isn't then he is a moron. It's disappointing, but I think we'll be ok!
  9. Wow, that is amazing. Really, really made my day. Thanks!
  10. I will be ignored by everyone that you said this unfortunately, which is a shame...
  11. Hahaha, like it...
  12. I think that bloke also has a **** off massive Range Rover as well (as he has a similar number plate - can't remember what it says). Usually parked round the back of Oxford Street (park side).
  13. You obviously caught him on a better day than I did, which is fair enough. I can only judge from the situation I was in.
  14. You could stop being lazy and check. He has a decent record.
  15. Please let's not get into another Lowe debate (I know you didn't start it), and he's now history. We have a new and impressive Chairman now, and no LM either (which makes me happy).
  16. Hang on, you said earlier that I couldn't judge someone on the back of meeting them, yet "everyone is entitled to their opinions"..? It was a very tongue in cheek comment. Sorry I'm not very good with the smiley face things. Christ, if everyone got so uppity about the odd comment here and there this really would be a battleground. I got cross at this: "how i wish for those great days and cannot believe we have so called saints fans knocking that great era when we overacheived big timethey must be barkin mad." I said numerous times I wasn't having a go at what he did for this club, as I recognise those achievements. So yes, I got angry at being wrongly accused by those too lazy to read the thread and just want to shove there tongues up people's arses as they follow around like sheep.
  17. Can't ever deny he's a big man. I'm 6'3" and 240 pounds, and he makes me look small. To be fair I was very polite to him, in general I am. And generally when a speaker at a pro/am, he should expect the odd question/meet and greet. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Either way, he was very abrupt and rude, and I don't see why I can't judge someone on the only time I've met him. How am I to know any different?
  18. Lowe?! What's he got to do with me disliking Lawire for being rude at a golf pro/am? I AM NOT A LOWE SUPPORTER!! The moral high ground had already been lost by you when you decided that I'm not allowed my own free mind. Either way, I'm not getting dragged into this, got far too much work to do. Can't believe I get this sort of reaction for saying that I dislike someone's personality. This country.
  19. So I'm not allowed to judge someone I have met then? Just plain not allowed to? Unbelievably ridiculous thing to say. All I said was that I dislike him, and yes, after what happened under Wilde/Hoos/Crouch I do question his integrity, and particularly towards the Southampton cause. And as noted, I do believe that I am in the minority. This board really is full of some sanctimonious self-righteous *****s, where if you go against the status quo, whatever your reason, you get castigated. Mental. FWIW I hope it does well as I am sure there are many more stakeholders who could lose from this.
  20. Jose Mourinho for me then.
  21. The point is I have said I dislike him on a personal level, I have never said that what he achieved should be looked down on or anything along those lines. It was an innocuous comment that people seem to have reacted very badly to.
  22. I'm not moaning about him disliking my contribution, I'm moaning about him misunderstanding my contribution.
  23. I said earlier on, I just really don't like his personality, and his attitude. Come across him at a couple of Pro/Am's and he is not very approachable in any way, shape or form.
  24. Read the threads again and you'll see no noe is having a go at those days or what was achieved. It really is annoying when people try to jump on the bandwagon and start having a go about something they've misunderstood.
